Finally installed rebuilt IP and what a difference in the way it runs. You can actually talk at idle to passengers.
The only issue I have is that at idle the muffler shield rattles like crazy. Could the idle be too low now? Or is it normal for a little rattling? What is normal idle rpm?
Sounds like my m1123 with the returned line disconnected. Pull off oil fill tube and turn crank with ratchet and see if IP pully turns. Hope it didn't freeze like mine and break the key.
I read that thread a few times and the last answer seemed reasonable. I'm wondering if govplanet employees are filling up fluids to get them started for pics.
I figured since that thread was from last year that at least 1000 more humvee had been sold. Possibly someone had new info.
I searched previous threads and found drained fuel or drained fluids. Has anyone picked up a humvee lately that had this writing on the hood and tell me what me what they found.
My new 1152 shows running in videos with oil pressure at 60, but I hope it wasn't ran with no fluids! The fuel guage...
To be honest when I was buying my m1123 they were going for about the same as what I paid. There were tons of m1152's today. Usually the m1123 dominate the auctions. Some nice two man hardtop 1152's went reasonable today as well.
This humvee was 900 more than my m1123 back in September 21. And my m1123 was a non runner. It's hit or miss with the auctions. Maybe the shill bidders took the week off. [emoji23]
Thank goodness I got rid of the wife years ago! If you look at fuel guage it's empty. Few tanks of cleaner with fresh diesel and hopefully clears up. A little bit of wd40 and she'll clean up nice. She's a 2006. I was too excited when I posted. Lol
Now the girlfriend loves the Humvee but gets...
I wanted to upgrade to the turbo and the AC. Time to list the m1123. Early in the morning they were going high and by the afternoon bidding started calming down.
Quite a few went for $6,500. I couldn't believe it. But they had 12,000 miles. Runners.
Watching the auctions today and Humvee's seemed to be going for a decent price. Ended up with a 3,000 mile running 2007 1152 for 8800. Now for the EUC waiting game once again!
Your injection pump? I took mine a town over to Diesel USA(formerly Magura Diesel) in Crown Point, Indiana. They are a stanadyne authorized repair facility and they have a great reputation. I actually did get a pump from Diesel Care and Performace, they sent wrong one so I ended up just...
I at least cleaned the drain hole! Surprised it's that little. Full of sand. I'll have to get some high temp paint as I have a week before ip is rebuilt.
24 bolt rims just delivered, but missing nuts, stems and orings Changing out the IP for the second time. This time it's going to a stanadyne authorized shop for rebuild. I'm not doing this again.
