Someone else already mentioned the levering of the wheel with a shovel, that's a good trick.
But the one I like is lifting the wheel off with your back to the wheel, that's "using the old bean" (says the guy with recurring lower back problems).
Beautiful country out there.
I've done some walking, winters and summers, up in the Absarokas and the Winds. Fine.
Where is the Bighorn Range, up in the Northwest corner?
I did a lot of backpacking when a young buck, wilderness outings mostly.
For a time I couldn't always find a willing partner, so I'd go out alone for a night or two.
In retrospect I realize how stupid that was (maybe "unadvised" is a better word). But only looking back now did I realize it...
Great looking set-up you got, mkcoen, sorry that the plans didn't all come together.
It's complicated sometimes.
But then this also gives you a chance to "test-drive" your outfit and give it a couple of shake-down outings before next year, you know?
It'll drive you bananas when you get two sets of advice that seem to directly contradict one another.
There's usually a ready explanation, if the exchange were just a friendly conversation, but typing out replies by text complicates it.
aua
True enough.
I guess we haven't perfected anything yet, except getting ourselves into trouble.
We're always good at that!
It's a guarantee, kind of like Death and Taxes. :naner:
