I'm subscribed. I recently acquired some axel clamp towbar connectors and have not yet researched how to use them correctly.
I took my truck for a 150-mile trip last weekend. With the 395's on it, I was able to cruise at 60 mph while running at 2200-2300 rpm. I used my GPS for a speedometer.
shadowdd - I'm sorry to here it. I hope all goes well with your surgery and you have a speedy recovery!! It would be great if you can make it next Saturday, but remember, your health should always come first! If you can't make this get-together, we will do more in the future.
That is awesome!! You got a new truck and an adventure that you will remember for a lifetime. How is your wife going to top that on your next anniversary? :D
Really CARNAC, is that all? I'm gearing-up for a super long trip (5 miles round trip to get ice-cream)...
Howdy! It will be nice to meet you and check-out your new truck!
Looks like we should have a good turn-out next Saturday (August 9). I've heard from 5 Deuce owners and now a 5-ton. See everyone next week!
I'm thinking just meet for breakfast at 0800. That may be too early for a convoy before breakfast. If it's not too hot after we eat, we can see about a convoy.

Right now, TAMU86 is the only one that has confirmed for August 2. I'm fine with switching weekends if more folks can make it on Saturday, August 9. I'll check with TAMU86, or let him chime-in here.
Who else is up for breakfast in Montgomery, Texas on Saturday, August 9 (instead of August 2)?

Montgomery, Texas checking-in.
While I have owned several vehicles previously used in military service, I have never registered one as a Texas Former Military Vehicle (or "FMV"). I currently own a M35A2 and a M105A2. The Deuce is registered as an ordinary truck. The trailer was recently...
PureMayhen,
I remember meeting you last March. If I recall, I told you we try to get together once a month. Guess I proved myself to be a liar....
We'll have to catch-up when you are back in town!
Howdy from a guy in Texas that use to own a former British MV.
There's a couple of us meeting for breakfast in Montgomery, TX this Saturday. It's a good drive from Deer Park, but there will be a couple of Deuces there if you want to check them out. One guy in town has a M35A3, but I don't know...
Of course it would be a topic for a new thread, but I have been thinking about a weekend camping trip to General Sam's in Huntsville once the weather cools off a bit.
I was just typing you a PM when your post hit-up. Sorry we'll miss you on Saturday!
I drove through your neck of the woods yesterday (Plantersville and Navasota) in the deuce. I was keeping an eye out for that new CUCV of yours...
Breakfast in Montgomery
I know there are a bunch of guys subscribed to this thread so I'm giving it a bump.
If anyone is interested in breakfast next Saturday (August 2) in Montgomery, TX, please check-out post #10 here...
Breakfast in Montgomery
It is down right hot these days. So meeting for breakfast seems like a good way to keep our trucks rolling while enjoying good company!
Would anyone like to meet me in Montgomery, Texas for breakfast next Saturday (August 2nd)? I'm thinking the Magnolia Diner at 0800...
