I found the wire lead numbers for the gauge cluster in the maint manual vol 2, which helps a lot, but are there any other diagrams showing the entire harness and the wire lead numbers?
The "back of the maint manual" doesn't have any wire diagrams, just an index...
Does anyone know where to get an a2 body harness wire lead diagram?
Would be useful to know wat each wire lead numbers goes to, it's getting sticky in the gauge cluster.
I use my humvee as a daily driver and the blind spots on both sides of the A pillar are bad enough. I do however take it off roading a lot and encounter a lot of deep water, sometimes more than 30 which makes me reroute.
My main concern is the worse visibility out that right side, with the a...
So the maximum amount of water I can ford is 30 inches. That means water can only come up to a little above the rim
But there's another foot or more to the actual intake. Did am general rate the max depth this way so soldiers didn't splash water over the hood into the intake?
Or is this...
I was interested in why AM General lost the contract to build the new JLTV, other than the fact that they didn't want to expand their production, here's a chart showing why they lost.
And in one of their interviews about their JLTV, they said the vehicle had been in the works for years...
I don't understand why cops do this, even with all the valid evidence to support your stance.
When I went to go get a vin inspect from my state patrol the guy there immediately said "this doesn't meet the requirements for on road use" and threw that on my inspection form.
I double checked his...
Yep thats exactly my brackets. Looks like I just need to drill the new holes.
Don't think a drill will fit behind the winch when on the vehicle... Anyone know the exact location for the other set of holes? Or the distance from the existing holes to the new ones?
I have seen that post. I do have the full installation manual given to me by mile marker. But it doesn't mention anything about the problem I'm having here.
Tried them all sorts of directions, none work.
NSN matches up to the TMs
My thinking is that either I need different mounting holes, or these are for a different winch.
Got them from Kascar, and they said they were for a mile marker winch.
I have acquired some nice new mile marker winch brackets (the ones that go from the frame to the shackle mounts on the winch) but the brackets do not line up with the existing shackle bolt locations. They are a couple inches off and the brackets won't even make it to the shackle holes because...
So I've seen a couple different companies that are making "smart suspension" or the likes that smooths out the ride and gives greater wheel travel and all.
While that does sound so appealing, I feel like they are leaving out the fact that they take the already top heavy up armored humvees and...
I just took another measurement on both the front and rear suspension, this time on the flattest peice of concrete I could find. I have different numbers this time.
Front is sitting at 17in, but the wheels still have negative camber! Both ball joints are tight and the wheel has no free movement...
Yes I saw those spacers.
I was a little hesitant about that since the existing spring would still be in a weakened state. But as I will be adding a mile marker and I already have the grill armor I might consider those in addition to new NOS 954 springs.
I'm just going off of what the epay seller said. The listing was a 1900lb spring pulled off a m1038.
I would assume they are getting the 1900 by dividing the 7700 GVWR by 4....
Considering that hitting a bump in my truck currently feels like a punch to the jaw, ill stay away from the 3k spring.
The ones on epay are for the m1038 and are rated for 1900 lbs... which I assume is the one normally used in the m998?
I am putting in a mile marker winch in the next week, if I...
I definitely have radials. BFGoodriches.
I found some great deals ($500) for 10k shafts but I don't know if they are the older or newer kinds. The seller says they are new from AMG.
Two questions I have:
I have determined that the front suspension is sitting 1 inch lower than normal (15in).
What are my options in helping fix this (vehicle curb weight is 5800 lbs)?
(I was thinking suspension spacers or m1114/1113 springs+new shocks?)
I am thinking of upgrading half shafts...
