Not sure why you tapped into that wire when there's extra ignition taps available on the fuse box.
All you had to do was ground it somewhere under dash, instead of running it that far.
Theres a ground prong with six tabs on it above emergency brake a bit. Use that.
I also have an autometer...
I use a fence or wall to rough aim.
Then I go to a dark road that I know is almost never traveled at night and do a final aim.
Suits my preference on how I like them.
I haven't had anyone flash their brights at me yet.
The truck-lites in my 5 ton are the same way to some extent.
I think...
Looks more like parts were thrown on it. Frankenstein CUCV
Agree that the added gauges could be issue.
The M1008 did not get the dual kit to my knowledge.
Is it worth it? That's up to you.
With it being modified like that I personally wouldn't even look at it.
Installed new Delphi injectors today.
Job took about two hours total and that included removing/installing the rear battery and tray.
No problems and the both the lines and injectors came off and went on very easily.
Cylinders and glow plugs looked good.
The old injectors are made in USA by...
This thread tells how old mine are.
I have not heard about any revisions.
They are getting better and the TL 5 ton lights do have a totally new design.
So it would not surprise me if there is a new version.
He's correct.
The spots are there. Slight.... subtle.....but definitely there.
If their not aimed correctly (too low) you stare at them on the road.
I then realized I had them aimed too low.
Did adjustment (much better!!!) and no issue now unless you drive towards a wall.
I still love the...
This months American Hunter magazine (NRA) has an article about "base camp" trailers.
Everything from a fancy mobile tent to Airstreams model.
Prices were crazy and most were dumbed down versions of a travel trailer.
Nothing with any real strength to really handle off-road.
All were billed...
As much as I wanted to, I never got out of truck until at pickup point.
There was some military equipment I had never seen before and couldn't tell it's intended use.
I wanted to get out and go look at the data plate, but knowing my luck, a MP/RRPD would drive around the corner just
as I was...
Roads probably open now. Was very close when we were there.
We could have driven around all day just gawking at all the cool and unusual equipment and not pass anything twice.
From the Army bridgeing boats to the self-contained dump beds.
Definitely Candyland
I've had excellent results with other Delphi products.
After looking at them in person and holding them, I can tell that it's a very high quality product.
I'll take the $100 I saved by not getting the Bosch's and buy something nice for my wife.
I have read here on SS that new injectors...
Wow
Took a great looking truck and made it look like &($;$@!!
Always amazes me how guys think that actually improves the truck.
Made it ugly and devalued it.
What a tool for doing that.
New set of Delphi injectors showed up today.
Included copper washers and Excellent German made fabric covered hose and ends.
Have a Snap-On Bosch injector socket inbound also.
Gonna be a busy weekend.
Like mentioned, they need to meet it as it arrives if at all possible.
That will be one super hot commodity and will have lots of eyes and sticky fingers on it.
Agree wirh the Honda sets.
Too late in the season for a big mil unit.
Authorities might even confiscate it for their own use. I've...
These are definitely worth something and unmolested ones will continue to rise in value.
They only built a certain amount of these and aren't being made anymore.
More are disappearing every day.
I personally can't stand lift kits. That's just me.
But to see a rare (ish) truck get lifited...
