The top spring plate will hit the bump stop bracket below the frame. You can always torch it off I suppose. The folks that sell these kits warn about it.
The registration tent will provide you with a name tag. If you have any deals working with folks, it sure makes it easier when they can find you. They are not a requirement though.
At this time next week, the opening ceremonies will be underway. In short, I'll be waking up to open up the RT. Some of us (not me) are loaded and getting ready to head out for a Friday arrival.
Friendly reminders that everyone is tired of hearing.
1) First stop at rally field is the RT...
Most of my genuis was earned, often laying on my back in some briar patch or struggling to keep hydrated in the bloody FL heat and stifling humidity. I've done the filter bypass with an inline and the fuel system bypass on the same truck at the same event. Destroyed a transfer case on the way...
BFS has gotten hard to find at a discount. I am down to my last 2 gallons and that frightens me. When I was a deuce owner, anytime I got below 5 gallons, I would reorder. Since all I have are CUCVs now, I probably will never use an entire gallon but I don't dare get rid of the second...
My question would be on the cans. Wavian has quality cans. Some of the Chinese cans are really crud. That spout is definitly one of the cheaper ones. I do use one of those but with 5L cans and for motor oil. I think you could likely get there using scepter cans and parts. Let me scrounge a minute.
8 days to go folks, 3 for others. Time to staple up all your open wounds, grab a transfusion, pillage the spouses bank account and get the truck loaded. Bring coolers and sustainables, ice is sold reasonably on premise. Don't forget charging devices. Phone batteries that last a day won't make...
Rear mudflaps are so a good location....for water. The military system was designed as a universal type system. Operationally, large transfer tanks would never have worked. For us in the civilian world, transfer tanks are a great choice. I still enjoy a nice collection of jerry cans.
JPG has a good suggestion but let me offer another thing to try before you go that far. Get a cheap see thru inline filter and use it to bypasss the factory filter temporarilry. They are prone to leakage and the clear filter will sure show you bubbles. There is also an aux pickup tube outside...
There are a number of tell tale signs of gassers repowered to multifuel. One dead giveaway is the right rear engine mount. If it is bolted to the frame, it was likely a repower.
