Might I suggest that the CB channel be closer to the middle of the band? Most people that tune their antennas tune for best swr in the middle of the band and running as low as channel 4 may have a detrimental effect. Perhaps channel 15, 17?
I have a recovery bottle on mine. Just use a one gallon universal from an auto parts store and plumb it straight to the overflow line from the radiator.
If you used silver solder to solder the brass to steel, you probably did cook the thermostat. If you need to get the brass part out, remember that brass melts at lower temp than steel.
I got home at 1:30 am this morning after leaving at 9:48am yesterday morning. Two and a half tanks of fuel and no problems. Was great to meet you all! Already planning for next year!
If you are going to spend big money, go with the one Tom sells with the advanced overdrive installed already, if not, you should be able to get a good used unit for $150-$400 depending on where you find it. At $700 for a used one somebody is really screwing people.

Anybody have the accessories that go with the field shower units? I have the Hot water heater, but I need the fuel feed line and connector as well as the water hoses and shower head/ bar whatever it is. I don't even know what all else goes to it, but I need it.

If you have any places where the insulation is rotting off of the wires, you need to fix those spots with fresh wire and solder the joints. Water gets in and causes corrosion inside of the wire which causes many different problems. Spent today replacing my whole front turn signal harness because...
