Let's not overdue the anti A3 nonsense.
Most of the A3 components are same as any other Duece (body etc). Engine parts are stock CAT/get at any CAT dealer. Same for the Allison transmission. Tire inflation system not so. And A3 had total rebuild in 1998-99 so perhaps better condition...
You perhaps have a MEP-002 5kw? Two cylinder (single exhaust stack). The MEP002 uses 2TN size batteries. Get small car batteries.
The MEP003 uses 6TL batteries. GREAT batteries to my thinking.
Given that the typical .mil installation has one or more new (since (9/11) $2 million guard gatehouses (manned by rentacops), 5mi of chainlink fence and 100+mi of 3' 3 strand barbed wire cow fence (that would only stop a cow), what's the point.
If you try to secure everything then you secure...
There are 35ea 2320011232665 TRUCK,UTILITY listed at Ft McCoy. As no one is going to reuse the POS for FEPP or FFP likely all will show up govliq in Sept/Oct time frame.
Actually there are some 200 listed at present. (And a lot of CUCV pickups). DOD evidently is finally dumping the things...
Issues many rural transplants don't consider until their house is on fire.
Your local FD (likley a vol. FD, and if paid they will be calling local vol.s for mutual aide) needs to be able to quickly, efficiently, safely run large fire turcks and and lay 5" hose from hydrants or run multiple...
Find a poor rural Fire Dept in your area. I guarantee you won't have to look far even in the PRC.
Standard for proper cleaning of Turnout gear requires a commerical washer. Only big/properous FD can affor $8k for such most will have a 2nd hand Maytag.
Washer has no value to you, so donate...
The water buffalo does have reputation for rolling. BUT as a vol FF I'll tell you way more tankers are found wheels up due to slosh/surge of water in unbaffled tanks. Not just an on road problem.
It's not just the CG that gets you. If you're near the tip point and water sloshs over you go...
How about some tie downs on that load? And a headache rack for the truck? A once of safety practice is not a bad thing. S___ happens.
Ever seen a compact that head on into a round bale that a shortcutting farmer dropped in the middle of the road?
Find a local National Guard aviation unit they likely help you find a Air Guard FF unit.
Or get them to refer you to the region/state NG maintenance facility. I've found NG guys to be pretty helpful to local FD (often find NG troops are also vol FF).
As poste d in another thread. If you "NEEEEEED" new style armor get on over to the ALF auction July 22.

Can anyone ID this winch? Warn 6000lb electric. Bumper looks could be HMMWV but larger drum and hook than I recall. Photos are a bit fuzzy (blame DRMO).
I'm looking for a winch for FD brush truck.
What is the molded plastic piece at the forward portion of photo #1? Not in M966 vintage 1986 (which also did not have D ring on the sling seat or a interior light).
