    Reflective Tape Question

When in the field we removed the round amber reflectors or tape over with OD 100mph tape. Pretty easy to install x 4" amber reflectors (2 screws) and remove them as desired.

A (Hot, Sweaty) Day at Mark's Green Truck Ranch

Regarding M1022 "turns out that they're all for sea containers which are 6 inches shorter"???? The purpose of a M1022 is to transport seavan/containers. In your misc biddng, get some surplus camo nets w/support sets. At least you'll have some shade to work under which makes a BIG diff.

    Mermite can question

    Bob the Dumpin' Deuce lives

Deere buys a LOT of their construction equipment from "foreign" mfg worldwide. Big and small. Japan, Sweden, Italy, etc. Doubt if 50% of the models are US assembled. And many of those have major "foreign" components. Same for CAT

OH NO I DID IT AGAIN

    M819/M246 Ops Questions

NO kidding? Min clearance standard is 10FT. http://www.cdc.gov/niosh/crane.html —If the power lines are not de-energized, operate cranes in the area ONLY if a safe minimum clearance is maintained as follows: At least 10 feet for lines rated 50 kilovolts or below...

I'm In Dire need of a Manual

There is no compression release on this Robin engine/T&J genset.. TM troubleshooting says: Engine cranks but will not start 1.) Fuel valves not turned on 2.) Fuel tank empty 3.) Run lever in OFF position 4.) Air in the fuel system (my guess) - Perform fuel system bleeding procedures (Para...

I'm In Dire need of a Manual

TO 35C2-3-499-1 Are you sure you're getting fuel to the cylinder? As I recall had hard time getting ours to start 1st time because the AF purged all fuel from the system at turn in. A little pressure in the fuel tank to force fuel thru the lines. As I recall bleed air out at the pump...

    New Batteries

There's a reason the local Exide plant has been running their 6TL line continuously since we deployed to Iraq. And it's not due to cold weather. I'm told there is a HUGE field of old 6TL sitting in Iraq.

    Civilian Hemtt?

Rosenbauer is one of the largest euro mfg of fire apparatus. Bought into the US market a few years ago an apparently strong grow. I'm told make some very nice well designed/made fire trucks. Other than 8x8 unlikely anything in common with HEMTT as a competitor of Oshkosh/Pierce/etc.

    Hand held Multi-Meter

Any of the multirange (make sure has AC and DC) will do what you need. Even the cheapies. But spend a few extra $ (like $40-100) and get a decent meter with a armoured case that may survive your dropping it. A digital meter is nice (vs analog/needle). HomeDepot etc will have what you need...

    DRMO stuff...hopefuly

State Surplus agencies. They get after has been picked over/thru by all the other eligible parties: Mil users, Fed Users, then States. They get at no cost. BUT they have to pickup and transport at their expense. So all that I know of charge you for the items. Sometimes more than "market"...

Until it shells out on the Ill/In border on a 90+F day mid July. The middle of July and the vol driver (coming home from vacation) with his 10yr old son as TC. Tow it 90 mi to Allison dealer, tear it open, flatbed home. $$$. Rebuild a donated core $$$. Still a good deal and now have a PTO...
