    Ladder for a M109

Sorry it's taken me a while to get around to this. I'm trying to get motorhome conversion finished-up so I can hit the road, and it's consuming ALL of my time and energy. I've got more pictures that help explain how I installed it and how it fits between the skids under the M109 box, but at...

    Deuce Air Hoses Sought

I don't have an air-shift transfercase, but all of the air lines on my truck just use regular tubing and compression fittings. Buy some new tubing and olives, and you can reuse your compression fittings. Or 'upgrade' to the newer plastic hoses and push-lock fittings. I think that's what I'm...

M35+S-280 vs M109 inside and outside dimensions

That would be a longer-wheelbase with a boom-type lift between the cab and the bed?

M35+S-280 vs M109 inside and outside dimensions

I REALLY like the idea of a modular trailer with the same bed mounts as a Deuce. Of course, if you could put a shelter in a Deuce bed on that trailer, you could also just put an M109 box directly on the trailer instead. I've been playing around with the idea of building a really thin flatbed for...

M35+S-280 vs M109 inside and outside dimensions

Oh, and the inside of an M109 box is 7.5ft x 12ft.

M35+S-280 vs M109 inside and outside dimensions

The dimensions are on here somewhere. I searched / compared before buying my M109. Sorry I don't have a link.

Roof mounted A/c on a hard top?

What do you mean? Seems to me like there are several good options, depending on yours needs and budget. I just mounted the AC unit in my M109 box this afternoon.

    hydralic winch

So, that would be a fifty (50) gallong oil tank!?! Wow.

    Double Deuce crew cab

What kind of AC unit is that Clint?

    Runaway Multifuel cutoff?

From what I read on their website, it looks like the valve gets some kind of RPM signal and can sense a runaway condition - then activate automatically. Am I understanding that right?

making small batches of custom parts

Got the first deuce hubstep samples back today and they fit great! I'm pretty happy with how they've turned out. Right now I'm talking to somebody on this forum about selling these for me, and we're still working out the details, but it looks like we'll be able to sell these for under $200/pair...

    Gin Poles Finished

My M109 weighs almost exactly 16,000lbs.

The A-frame kit (hoist) for M35-let's talk about it

Good thread. It's got me thinking that I ought to build an A-frame by extending a towbar so that I'll have both with me, in case I need either. Would a 'medium' towbar be the best one to use?

    Gin Poles Finished

The M109 boxes weight closer to 4000lbs, and the box is bolted to the frame with a 1/2-dozen or so bolts on springs on each side. I don't think the box will shift on it's mounts because the hardware locates it pretty well, but I AM worried about it pulling on the top of the box. My M109 is full...

    Gin Poles Finished

I've been thinking about this, and haven't decided how to tackle it yet, but I will be carrying some type of an A-frame with me in/on my M109. It anyone knows what type of side-loads those lifting points on the box can take, I'd sure love to know.

    Anyone ever use these boots?

I just ordered a set of 1-piece boots from OD. Wonder which ones I'll get?

making small batches of custom parts

I forgot to add shock mounts to the list. I always put the most time/money/effort into upgrading the suspension on all of my off-road vehicles, and I forgot all about the shocks (lack of) on these trucks.

    Lockout hubs

I don't mean to be argumentative, but this is just not true. No modern 4WD vehicles (at least that I'm aware) of have different gear ratios front/rear. Sometimes it's not possible to match gear ratios exactly if you're putting two different types of axles under a vehicle, and a few % difference...
