Bjorn, I suggest checking with Ray Patton. I have never dealt with USHIP.

    Post sale transfer vs SF97

Joe, They can probably apply for the SF97 and dealer transfer form with GL and it should be free...as long as the backlog lasts and the truck was not listed as NO TITLE. There are also titling companies that will get you a title, but they will want more than the $60 that GL used to charge.

    Another SF97 question for GL

I guess different sites handled it differently. I know this is how they did it at Lakehurst because I experienced this and Joe alerted me ahead of time about what to do...to verify all of the info with them. Either way, it would be cool if they could get us the correct SF97 when we got the...

SF97s - just letting you know

They might have said that, but I received a message from a Jean Payton from GL in which she said it would be a couple of more weeks (I just re-read her message...she said a couple of more weeks, not a few weeks).

    Another SF97 question for GL

Mike, I don't know where you got your trucks from, but, when I got trucks through DRMO, I never received my SF97 when picking them up. Instead, it was expected that the SF97 would follow in the mail within a week or so. I used to verify the VIN, year, make, model, etc. with the site contact...

SF97s - just letting you know

I would contact them via phone to confirm they got it.

SF97s - just letting you know

60 day wait??? I have been waiting since January 4th and I was told it would be a few more weeks. That will make it about 80s by the time I get my SF97s. However, I like the waiving of the fees. For that, I'd wait a bit to get my paperwork. As they say, I've got more time than money.

WTB: Upper and lower radiator hoses for an NHC250 in an M818

I should have said that I was going to take the "upper" hose to NAPA.

WTB: Upper and lower radiator hoses for an NHC250 in an M818

Will, Thanks...I'll try to do that as soon as I have time to tackle the task of replacing the hoses. I actually found the NSN #s online and ordered the lower hose from FRONT LINE. His price beat Memphis (no surprise) by $12! I was also thinking of taking the hose and bringing it to NAPA for...

WTB: Upper and lower radiator hoses for an NHC250 in an M818

Would anyone know the NSNs for the two hoses? I don't have my parts manual at work.

Deuce shutting down after 2 minutes???

It could be if the truck has been sitting for a while. Does the diesel fuel in the tank smell fresh?

WTB: Upper and lower radiator hoses for an NHC250 in an M818

Does anyone have one of each for sale? Thanks!

    New Record!

That is incredible. Mine always take 12-14 days once it hits Battle Creek.

Deuce shutting down after 2 minutes???

I agree with everyone, Mike. I was going to suggest changing the filters and, in the process of doing this, bleeding the air out of the fuel system (the petcock on top of the secondary/final filter assembly).

I just got an 85 hmmwv

If you (or anyone else) is interested, I've got all the brand new TAN vinyl to put a top and cargo cover, with two end curtains, on a 4-man HMMWV. I don't have new doors, but I've got good used ones. I also have all of the framework for these tops...all brand new. I paid $607 and would take a...

    Goodyear G177 or G286?

TODDM: Interestingly, your G177s and mine have slightly different tread patterns. By the way, you have a beautiful truck!

    New GL deuce buyers

I've said it before, a first-time-buyer would be better off buying from either a dealer or a private individual. I am talking from experience. We were all newbies once. I bought my first three deuces from Joe Young. Joe, then, helped me to get my first M813A1 from the DRMO. He showed me how...

Opinions and Sources for Cab Heaters

I concur with Bjorn. I prefer the fuel burning heaters, but they are very hard to find. The hot water heater kits are sufficient, but you have the problems that Bjorn identified above. Check with HALFTRACK. He sold me a take-out kit that was complete. He says that he takes the heaters out...

    Goodyear G177 or G286?

James...slight delay in responding... I've got these tires on my M818 and I love them. I have another set that I'll be putting on my M929. They are great tires. I am sure the tactical tires are better off road, but I know these will wear better and will be better on the highway.

    M35A2 Transmission rebuild/replacement?

Call John Winslow in Halifax, NC (252-883-2509). He's got transmissions and he is right off of I95 near the VA/NC border.
