Cannot presume whether a test, or an actuated triggering by either heat/flame detectors or PANIC BUTTON being pressed.
Either way, foam is far more effective than water sprinkler systems.

I agree, he didn't want to panic the passenger in the cabin seating area, but he was more likely calculating the chances of the stowaway kitty clawing the occupants or maybe even seeking shelter in the back of the tail boom, becoming entangled in the control cables and/or potentially upsetting...

I did not notice it described in the text, but why do the engine inlets seem to be "closed"/"plugged"/"vaned or throttled or choked" in photo number 5 above???
