That article and truck and trailer are really fabulous!
I stole the pictures (with attribution)... They are just too good to not be part of the SS collection.

That is a FANTASTIC price! I would guess that anybody here would be happy to pay that money including transport and smile all the way home. I think you are more than likely right. A couple of kids and a wife - even with two people earning - can see a problem spending money on a "toy". We...

Hey, don't worry over the "rough". That is easy enough. When I started on my M-936, it looked okay. Not great by any stretch of the imagination but the more I worked on one side - the other side just got worse and worse. Chipped paint with scrapers, then upgraded to a big heavy wire brush...

Well - Congratulations on your new-to you truck. Glad to hear that you found somebody to get it home. Maybe pop the hood and give us a round of pictures. Maybe we can help you figure out how to get her running. Can you tell us anything about what it? Did the truck run - and stop? Or has...

Like every other business or government agency... There are a few people who know what to do and why - and the rest of them -are just a bunch of MORONS who don't know how and worst of all Don't Care
Glad that you got yours done!

I can't help but wonder if the linkage has anything to do with the problem. I have a completely different truck - and Low range would work just fine. Hi range wouldn't work until I adjusted and lubricated that linkage. Might be that a good shot of WD40 might solve the problem...

Welcome to the outfit!
You will really enjoy it when it arrives - and it will seem to take FOREVER for it to get here.
Best we have to offer is the TM reading material. At least it will give your brain something to do until then.
We are looking forward to some pictures.
Especially...

Without me stirring the pot - Nicely said coachgeo !
This is a lot like samsung and their picture storing and backup software that is disappearing.
My solution for that stupidity was to build and install my own NAS that I can connect to for that purpose.

I have no real world experience with 500 gallon water or fuel tanks.
Full or Empty is the way to go I am sure - to control sloshing.
(We all know that isn't always possible though)
Might be worth a search. The rough details are below.
Baffle Balls
Ball displaces 5oz and weighs only 0.25...

Just remember that when you have it turned over for your pickup, there is a LOT of leverage against your hitch point. I wouldn't drag that trailer more than empty with your truck. I had one on my M-1088 and it was twice as beefy as the picture above. When I pulled the pins, they were bent...

Congratulations on your New-To-You truck Adam!
Welcome to the outfit too.
I think that bed is going to be okay. Yeah, it may need some cleanup possibly but I definitely like the wheel cutouts. It makes you different and that isn't a bad thing. If it bugs you a lot, there is always somebody...

So, I'm jealous. I keep looking for a HET, but I either have a wallet problem - or I am not looking hard enough.
The only Detroits I have ever worked on were 8v92TT's and they weren't running anything but diesel. MY OPINION is that if that baby cranks up and runs, I would drive it with the...

I wonder how many hundred times that has happened?
Similar situation that was on a friend's car and the transmission dipstick on the GM TH-350 had a little goofy cover. It was tack welded at the factory and the weld had broken. Cap (dipstick cover) slid up the the "ring" where you pull it...
