Jon, I moved your post into the appropriate forum and edited it as necessary to meet the rules of the site.
I think it's safe to say at this point that everyone knows it is against SS rules to post information or links regarding upcoming or live auctions on GL, GSA, eBarf, etc.
HS, all the multifuel radiators are the same unless their materials or construction quality has improved-the design has stayed the same since the Sixties.
Try Sims radiator-they have 2 of Dawn's deuce's radiators.
Do a search here on SS in the deuce modification forum for "receiver AND hitch"-all your questions will be answered in great depth, including which part #'s to use.
Several issues:
Ga has VERY strict rules about raffles and other games of chance. I was approached with several ideas and after researching them, I am not sure what to do. So officially, we (10SSGR mgmt.) are undecided about what we should take part in. I am certainly unwilling to take...
Austin, if you do a search ( Steel Soldiers::Military Vehicles Supersite - Search Forums ) for "multifuel AND lifespan" or something like that, there are two very good threads that relate to the multifuel and it's expected lifespan. Just keep searching and reading until you find what you need...
I thought I was the only one. I started at page 1 of the deuce forum and then started working my way towards the front. I am proud to say that at one point, I had probably read 75% of the deuce related threads here. It gave me a fantastic base of knowledge to work off of when I went to buy my...
The new image viewer only displays the images in each post. If say 2 posts on one page of a thread have images, you have to open the viewing window, view them, then close it and click on one of the images in the other post and do it again.
Frustrating
Do a search!
All the more reason to get some more stick practice!
Let's see....
M274A5 Mule
M35A2 W/W + dump conversion
M35A2 W/W + bad tranny
M35A2 W/W sprag
M35A2 W/W (6720, the FMS truck)
M35A2 WO/W (Whistler #2)
M35A2 WO/W (gun ring truck)
M35A2C parts truck
M1009
Oh wait, that's 9. You...
Use a transfer case PTO.
DO a search for "transfer AND PTO". You will find much info.
Transfer PTO's are how the factory did hydraulic pumps for dumps and such.
5 tons? Have you not heard Kenny's brake drum story?
Only 5 ton I want is an M62A1 or an M816. Only reason I'd put up with all the weight (and cost) of a 5 ton is so I can move our stuff around. :D
936 = I love the air brakes.
936 = automatic transmission. No way. Automatics are...
I don't think the linkage is the only thing that controls the depth of gear mesh, so once the gear is worn, that's that.
Swapping them isn't difficult-do a search for transfer swap by author "FMJ"-he has some good pictures of removing and installing them with a tranny jack.
