It's just a generic keyed switch; Off-On-Start. It only controls the solenoid that powers the vehicle by interrupting the battery circuit. Once the switch is on, you start it with the normal start switch.

One other mod I forgot to mention. Keyed ignition switch. It operates a heavy duty 24 volt relay to disconnect the batteries when off. I always leave my light switch in the drive position with this setup and never forget to turn them on .

I sealed mine and it doesn't leak a drop.

It had a cover on it when I bought it. No lift of any kind on it; bone stock. How about some pictures of yours?

On my 1045A2 the cable runs through a bracket that is bolted to the transfer case, maybe to keep it from torque rolling?

A couple of more improvements I forgot to mention. 3/4 inch rubber mat to cut down on heat and noise. I bought it at Tractor supply; horse stall mat. Interior LED dome light with adjustable brightness. It's turned on and off with the installed door switches.

Actually it's parked outside always and I had the hood up yesterday ; dry as a bone. It works well.

Weatherstripping to keep water out of the intake valley. Easy but pretty effective.

Same idea that I used but took it a bit further.

Just leave them on there. My 1045A2 has them and the wipers work just fine. I wouldn't risk breaking something; nothing gained.

I sprayed directly on the belt at the alternator pulley and it immediately stopped squeaking.
