I run 50/50 in my Ford Ranger diesel in the summer.......in the deuce I mix it with gas and UMO.
It will thicken up in cold weather...especially if chicken or food with fat was cooked in it.
Vehicles older than 1976 (I think) can be registered (but not titled) in Alabama with a bill of sale or invoice from GL.
I do not have titles for any of my deuces.
Wecome to the Green Iron Laughing Accademy.:cookoo:
It is never too early to start getting ready for the (in)famous GA Rally in Oct.
More MV's than you can shake a stick at and an interesting group of oddballs and misfits.
You can't have more fun without taking off your britches.rofl
Once you get to Benning you need to meet up with Papa Bear and the CAMO crew. They will be convoying up and you could join the crowd if your schedule meshes.
They sometimes need a spare driver so you might get to drive an MV up there.
Welcome to the Green Iron Laughing Accademy.:cookoo:
Where in AL are you?
If the truck was purchased from GL the person that bought it can go back to GL and request the SF-97 if they want to sell the truck.
A lot of these trucks were sold as "residue" from GL and other sites. Generally...
Deuces are tougher than woodpecker lips and will take a beating that will leave other trucks sitting on the side of the road with the hood up hemoraging fluids and parts.
I have driven them in from the field with all kinds of problems and they brought us home.
When the military abandoned the...
A world famous psychiatrist once came to SteelSoldiers tried to start a twelve step program but nobody wanted to quit. He now owns several MV's and lives in an expando van out in the woods.

If you get up this way give me a yell.

Welcome to the Green Iron Laughing Accademy. :cookoo:
You are headed down the slippery slope of MV addiction with a bunch of guys that will grease the skids as you go by.
Lots of prior service and retired guys on here.....you'll never meet a better bunch of misfits in one place.rofl...
Clint......I have to respectfully disagree with you on that point. There are some circumstances that even corporate America (or the government) can not control.
We are one major natural or manmade disaster away from total anarchy. I was at Hurricane Andrew and my unit had boots on the ground...
We expect to see that deuce in A1 condition ASAP.
If you play well with others (or even if you don't) you are invited to the GA Rally in Oct.
There are several members down there that make it up for the festivities. It is the premier SS event in the Southeast.
Recovery 4X4 is usually the...
We old timers have a tendency to get cross when we get a post like this.......you have not done anything one or more of us haven't done.....we just don't remember it.
This does beg the question "how much research did you do before you jumped in with both feet?"
There are lots of members in...
If it weren't for the automobile possums and armadillos would take over the earth.
Ever since I adopted Elmo D. Possum I have refrained from cooking any of his kin.
But I keep the receipe book handy....you know....just in case.
