Ron - Not sure if it was a pic of the towbar that you wanted - I'll try to extract more pics of the USMC Towbar which seems to be the main part you need, but do not know the source of the cross bar with the clutch hooks at the ends... Though it is very similar to that used on a Holmes 750 setup.
What is the origin of this setup - is it standard kit for an 816/936? Looks like it is partly USMC towbar suspended from 816 wiffletree.

OK, so I got accepted to bid on Gov'Liq site - fell head over heals for the M.A.N tractor wrecker but had to watch it slip away as time ran out due to not hearing back on the End User Certificate EUC requirement...
No idea how many more of these are around - don't even know why they were...
Hmmmm - so what does technically count as a wrecker? Perhaps the 'crane-tractors' should NOT be counted as wreckers either, or perhaps a fifth wheel 'underlift' would then make it count, or should it have to have ground spades to be a wrecker? A tank transporter with single or dual rear...

It is a wrecker, but as it's under 5 ton I guess it doesnt count!
Only 6 in total were ever fitted this way, there were only ever two serving at any given time, new ones replacing the previous as required... as in parachute failure etc!
