Wolffrag86--other than having the petition only exist in cyberspace, is there an option to forward it to the legislature in colorado as well as the director of the colorado department of revenue?
Having been to the DMV in colorado and asking fairly detailed questions as well as following the various bills in our congress, it seems apparent that the big problem is our state director of revenue. She has taken it upon herself to re-interpret the laws that was passed and decided it means no...
Thanks. good to see the old war horses getting to do what they were built for. she looks in her prime. looks like you have some parts to a m108?? another project?
While I can understand why someone from present times would not want to describe the fact that all oil drains back to the pan on shut down of the engine as a "design feature", nevertheless, it was, I believe, part of the design of the engine. a lot of harleys for example, currently have this...
If you have never done the board method of cutting off the engine's air intake before, there are a couple things to remember. if you take the mushroom cap off the air cleaner body and block the remaining big hole with a board it may not kill the engine. there is a second hole on the rear of...
I think KIA, the car manufacturer we see in commercials, makes an "A3" or "A4" version of the deuce that is used in Korea? If so this could be something they use. Perhaps someone converted it from Korean parts. Otherwise, those look like fairly large tires for an A2 deuce so some rubbing...
F N A--not sure where its gone but it sure is gone. What I wonder is where did my body go. sometimes my brain still feels like an 18 year old kid. my body never does any more. some memories are so vivid its like it happened yesterday. usually the ones that you half chuckle at, half dang...
Rolling Thunder 19--I assume you close both valves to remove the filter. But have you noticed any draining with your bypass line to the heater core/ filter when you remove the filter? seems like it would need a shutoff to prevent drain back from the water pump connection?
TAZZJR--I did a head job and replaced all the gaskets. several accessory mounts, the air compressor included, presented some challenges. If you are referring to two of the four large nuts on the compressor mount studs holding it to the mounting flange on the block, you have two options...
It occurs to me that these might benefit from a group purchase. I have not explored the possibility with ARP or anyone else. But seeing as how pretty much everyone that owns a deuce long term will likely have to do this at some point whether its because of gasket failure, freeze plug failure(...
upon further checking the old neighborhood is bigger than I remembered!!!!!
well anywho, here is a more accurate total
14 long studs at $13.69 ea =$191.66

Thanks Gringeltaube. A bit lighter and smaller but would require cannibalizing an old one I suppose. I appreciate your clarification. I hope it works out for Don G
Was finally able to get a hold of tech at ARP. Got price quotes on individual studs per Rusty Studs part numbers. About $475 for all including washers and nuts. without tax and shipping. Downside is they said it will take 3 to 4 weeks to ship them. pretty much the best price I could find...
I have one I took out when I converted mine to air. Shipping might be a bit pricey. Already crated though--in the crate that came with the air version. pretty secure crate and hold downs inside. I would imagine others have them available as well. perhaps someone closer to you. Boyce in Salt...
follow up--searching for head studs by manufacturer and part number is challenging me to say the least. I may need to retract part of my statement. some of the part numbers for head studs are come up active but still no details on TPI so I can be sure they will fit the deck properly. more to...
I tried those numbers at the ARP website as well as numerous searches. no luck. I have called and sent emails to ARP as well still no luck. Has anyone got some direct experience with ARP head studs for the multifuel that they would be able to share? such as TPI, nut size, washer, torqueing...
I am nearing completion of my head job. for some reason that just reminded me of a job I had in a poster/incense store in 1966. these are things that may not have been mentioned in some of the posts or I found confusing---I apologize in advance If I am preachy or otherwise obnoxious/ boring...
