Oh.
Last year I did Rotella 15w40 Diesel oil change so this year I’ll look into that.
I guess I got lost focusing so much on what additive to put in my fuel each fill up I just assumed.
thank you for clarification .
Whew.
Well here closest to me are Speedway or QT Stations. The Chevron by game does not have diesel, go figure, though they may have that Oil. What’s your mixture on this? 1 per tank fill?
Alright that makes sense.
I tell you what... He musta done something wrong cause the fuel pump absolute rusted. Sending us it was rusted frozen. Primary fuel filter drain was stuck and filter was CAKED with chalky red. Bottom of the gas tank had chunks and pieces of stuff. It was a mess. I...
Hello thank you for the response. Here in AZ we don’t have winter (maybe 10 days a YEAR below 35) so I assume I’d use this Stanadyne throughout? What’s the ratio? Every fill up or once a month . Whole bottle or what’s your usage?
I plan on keeping the tank always full as the previous owner did...
Hello
I am sorry to bring up an old thread but I came upon it while considering what I should do myself. 1972 M35A2 and was wondering about additives to add with my Fuel for Lube as well as keeping it rust free..
And this is probably due to my ignorance more so but after reading both pages I am...
Hello, thank you.
I guess the good news is I already do control my braking with the process of using downshifting (always that Prius who pulls right in front) so it seems my thinking was correct. I get what you mean about the air side giving me warning and can plan accordingly.
So the hydraulic...
Hello
I was just thinking about what I would do or what to do correctly if the break system went out due to major air leak/no air pressure.
Would it be as simple as down shifting all the way to slow your speed or what is suggested?
I am all for preserving the very idea of what my M35A2 is but...
Awesome! I got that all taken care of.
One more question... I replaced tank, fuel lines, 3 fuel filter jatonka conversion, fuel pump and sending unit.
There was major rust in the tank, it was bad.
Now that I’m nearly done putting it all back is there an additive or what not I can put in fuel...
Well with the same force I used with taking off everything else I also used with this and I tell you this, the metal melted and smeared and like tore... It did not budge but the little nipple or whatever it is is stuck and now damaged so I really am unable to bring in the old one and get it...
Hello people.
I just took out my old tank on my 72 M35A2 and have the new tank ready go with New sending unit , pump and hoses etc but I’ve come across a snag. Whether or not it’s good practice to use the same connector, I have damaged it trying to to remove it realizing it was welded on.
I...
I’ve never heard of a battery Tender ... As far as warming up I do drive for a good 20 minutes or so around the block I mean city block.. NW Tucson.
Thank you both
Hello friends
I was wondering how long should be my max length in time to let my 72 Deice sit without starting/driving?
She runs perfectly fine new fluids no issues ever I just don’t really have time right now to drive it... Currently I start it every 3 or so weeks and drive around my block but...
It is a project I am going to do. Previous owner never drained any of the 3 Fuel canisters and the tank has rust so I wanted to start from scratch and do it all. It is a project I am doing within the next 3 weeks
Hello.
I was going to swap out my rusted Fuel tank as well as new sending unit and pump as well as any rubber hoses and then do the conversion for all 3 Fuel filters .
My question was about priming. Is it recommended to fill new filters up with fuel somewhat before starting? Is there a certain...
