Some auctioneers are so lazy. I'm sure it's a coincidence that this auction with a lot of MIL vehicles is the same weekend as a local Rally, but it's no coincidence that other than one ad in the MVPA magazine, and a very poorly designed website with limited pictures, there is nothing out there...
Saw this auction advertised in the MVPA magazine. Very poorly put together website, but at least it does have enough pictures to generate interest. I haven't seen it shared on any of the military vehicle forums I'm on- I hesitate to share it here, because it could cause someone to pay more...
I didn't drive my MV to the museum, but it was a road trip for the purpose of looking at MVs, so that's why I'm putting this post in this forum.
I only found out about the museum about a month ago from a friend that had been. It's only opened on Friday and Saturday, and I planned my arrival...
Last night's Mule project was cutting a "horse stall mat" to fit the deck. Not a difficult job, and turned out pretty well for an ugly mat.
I took the Mule to a gun range in Spencer, TN a couple of weeks ago to assist in clearing some trails that will be used for a run and gun competition...
I volunteered to help out cleaning some trails for an upcoming shooting competition to benefit the Special Forces Association, Chapter 38. The Mule was a hit, as well as very useful to transport chain saws, fuel, etc deep into the woods.
It's worth a few hour drive. Last year there were probably 25 or so vehicles, including a M5 Stuart that was giving rides around the fairgrounds. And that was just the first year of the event.
I've only owned the M274 Mule I submitted for MV of the month for 3 weeks. I saw it advertised on Steel Soldiers almost 2 months ago- reached out to the seller, and didn't hear back for a few weeks. I was disappointed, convinced it had already sold, but then received a phone call from...
I bought an adapter from Erik's military surplus, along with a bracket, and attached it to my M116 frame. LED lights were already on the trailer and they work great with my pick up truck. Pulled it 90 miles to the farm and 90 miles back loaded with a m274 Mule and the trailer performed great...
Well, not really neglected. It's been stored inside for about 18 of the 19 years I've owned it. I've put about 8K miles on it in those years. Drove it quite a bit for the first year or two after I got it, but then had two kids- and only got the 151 out on sunny days to drive in the...
Mike apparently loaded the Mule in the trailer using a couple of 2x10 pine ramps. Kenny joked when I picked it up that Mike had bigger balls than he to use these short wooden ramps. (I wasn't going to try it either!)
I want to use the trailer to it's potential, so I bought a set of aluminum...
I submit my newly acquired M274a4 Mule. Hauled it back from Georgia to Kentucky last weekend after meeting a fantastic SS member who is helping Microjeep's widow move on with life.
My boys have both wanted to drive it every night this week, and this Mule is now helping pass on some military...
From talking with Kenny, I wish I'd known him. Do you know how long he'd had the Mule, or where he got it? Just trying to piece together some history since the data plate is blank.
My son (12 at the time) got a chance to ride a Mule last October at a local MV show. That was right after riding in a M5 Stuart, so the Mule didn't make quite the impression it should have. :) But both of my boys have had a chance to drive around the yard already.
Had to replace the...
This was a cool show last year- I'd guess 40-50 vehicles in attendance, plus tank rides in a M3 Stuart for a donation.
The Bullitt Co fairgrounds sets right next to I-65, just about 20 minutes south of Louisville.
