So it if I got this correct, I should:
Disconnect the batteries
Replace the glow plugs (Ugh!)
Switch the glow plug connectors
Empty my bank account and replace with a NARTRON or KDS S3, or Camotek (no Santa this year)
Just connect the larger connector on the engine side and...
Here is a picture from underneath of the #1 cylinder. All the other cylinders seem to have a spare too.
It is a 92. I was told the controller was replaced by the person I bought it from, but evidently he did not install a modern one.
Oh boy, now I am really confused. Mine has two harness connectors on the engine side as pictured above. All the pictures I see of the NARTRON or the KDS S3 have only one connector on the engine side :eek:
So if I use a NARTRON or KDS S3, or even Camotek - what the deal with my harness...

The +24V, +12V are labeled. The red terminal is easily identifiable, and gets connected to 5A. The other two smaller terminals are not labeled, and are both beige. There is a yellow dot painted between the red and beige terminals on one side, which leads me to believe that beige one gets 2A...

I cannot answer the question about those x-doors on a helmet top as I am a newbie and the previous owner bought and installed what I have so I have no idea where they came from. But the x-doors installed, and the helmet top too are fiberglass. Kind of rough finish.
