There are plenty of people here to answer your question but C&C Surplus in Unionville, Indiana is not far from you for shipping and they rebuild enough trucks to give advise and sell good shoes.
The m105 spring is the same as the deuce front. How many guys would like to trade out the tired, sagging old deuce front spring for a barely used 105? just sayin
Found this on my 1061. Both sides had one wire between the light housing and mount that was smashed enough the wire came through the insulation.
Then I checked and the ground for the bulbs in the top is one screw and the ground for the lower led is the other screw.....and they are not bonded...
Sorry, I was wrong about the overload, it's on the top of the leaf with eyes, so it's removal won't change height. The shorts could reduce about 3 less and yes keep brackets.
Got it....moving
The springs are hardly used on most 105s and worth rebuilding, just with some thickness removed. The onerload is about 6 layers and the main spring is 11, easily reduced to 9, with no mount changes, only shorter bolts needed. I used them (10) on my 4x A3 with bag overload.
I second Wes above.
But if I had to do it, I would disconnect the drive train for the front, probably driveshaft. No way even off road will be "slippery" enough to unload that much stress. With each revolution the front would go about 10" less than the rear.
Oddly enough, this would work on...
You may have ruled out surge brake. I like them.
Unless you plan on a heavy load, the overload spring could be removed and so could a couple leafs of the main spring.....maybe add shocks. I hike a little travel than being so stiff that it hardly flexes. The 11 leafs are just too many...
I thought I remembered a small hole in the cap as a vent., like 1/16". With motor it doesn't need much venting but with cylinder, the rod volume will be pushed out and sucked in with each stroke.
If there is no vent, where did the oil come out? His statement was that it blew it out.....but...
Yea....trapped air probably trying to get out the OEM tank vent. 'm thinking you need a line from the top of the OEM tank into the aux tank and to cap off the OEM vent since it's below your reservoir and the top of the aux tank is vented at the fill. Otherwise the aux tank drains out the OEM...
Did it work properly and then just start this? I'm seeing the aux tank nearly entirely above the vent on the OEM tank. Gravity would seem to empty it over time but that is not what you are describing. Does the second tank stay full? We need more circuit information....like how he diverted...
Something is not adding up. I would get a second and third opinion before I bought a pump. You are not telling us enough details. WHERE does it blow oil out? Does it have a diverter valve?
The pump is just two gears that mesh together. What does your mechanic say is happening....or not...
The seal used on the fourth clutch pack by the OEM fails. The locking tc shifts from 3to 4 with it locked, putting more stress on it. Over time the seal holds less and less pressure on the clutch pack, causing it to slip. As it slips, it heats up. It gets hot enough to melt aluminum and turn...
Smell your oil. Does it smell burnt?
There is nothing, like clutches with pressure, that I know of to make heat at idle.....unless it's really in gear.
The government made a real screw up puttion a locking torque converter on the 545....calling it a 1545. It's part of the reason the 4th/r...
I went Friday and got to see new and old friends. It was perfect weather and there was good attendance.
A big thanks to Dave for being the SS express. And thanks also for the mirrors. I should have got 2 sets. One of the clamps that I didn't use to mount the mirror made a nice door stop...
No, I have the 929 and deuce 4x4. The dump will pull the above trailer or the 1061. The deuce could handle a light load, as the new trailer has full air brakes.
I see what you mean about bolting it on, but it would take the 20' version.
Loading at the mill is with a large cat loader and...
It's a 939 series problem with the Rockwell T1138. I guess the 809'series does not do it. But then you have a clutch on a ramp.
I've made the comment that it took a government to put a warning on the dash instead of fix the problem in the TC design. See, with a dump, I want to back up on my...
I would want the length of a cargo for that rig but I would be tempted to cut the bed back to the frame end and expose the pintle, remove bumperettes.
Here is a he thing with the 5 ton. It hates backing up in low range and for some reason after pictures, pulling this out may require low tc...
