Allison recommends ATF. There are several different fluids they allow in it. 15W-40 is not at the top of that list from what I researched. To switch it over it needs the 15W-40 drained, filters changed, filled, ran for about 30 minutes then repeat to flush out all oil. As the mixture of the 2...

Inside of those doors are coated. I believe it's a rust inhibitor and is I little "gooey". You may check it out first. May not find much of anything to stick to it. But I would say it would deaden some sound itself.
Inside door handle? I've had mine off a couple times, I don't remember exactly, but wasn't bad. I believe it was as simple as a single screw in each one. If its te outside door handl? You have to remove all the door hardwareinside, and hardware to latch mechanism, then remove 10mm bolt from rear...
There was one on fleabay for a longtime but I couldn't bring myself to give them what they were asking. It looks good, keep us posted with pictures as you do this project. It'll be sweet.

Yeh, if it was a camp LMTV it was probably me. We live close to there. Also a camo HET or a tan MK48/MK14. PM me sometime and we'll meet up. Wonder who else is close?
The 150 is to safeguard the electrical system of his truck. He's not going to peak it at 6k long enough to blow a 150. If so, it's a fuse that is hurt and nothing else. The 6k is 500 milliseconds capable, according to the specs. Either way, a 2k or a 3k could be done safely and efficiently. ANL...
3000/28=107.142 is stated spinning. Most 3k max at 5k= 178. I fuse 3k's at 300 amps all day long on 12 volt systems. Grounded inside the cab. They run pipe threaders. Been in for years.
Grounding to a good solid clean part of the frame or body is adequately fine. Majority of the electronic components in new vehicles are attached this way. I personal would go with the larger inverter. Just because it CAN make 3000 watts does not mean it does it all the time. It is capable, but...
I had to get someone to show me how. I was in the kitchen getting ready to make a mess. But, it worked. Thank you jasonjc.
now I gotta sweep the kitchen floor or poor a glass of milk.
When I try to view " Today's posts" all I get is a page of random script. Probably men's something to a computer savvy person but not me. Lol. I've tried logging out and ack in with no luck. Any suggestions?
Thanks,
Dave
I install inverters for industrial clients often. Run directly to the battery, fuse it within 18 inches of the power source. I use an ANL fuse and holder. Go through the firewall using a grommet. You do not want it to rub through the insulation of the wire. I use 1/0 ga wire and fuse it for 300...
It would be cool Soni to have ALL the pictures of your various builds in one place. You do some amazing and inspiring work with very little help. AND OUTSIDE! Lol thanks again for sharing with the rest of us.
