    PTO's

I use the accessory drive on my M35s to drive the hydraulic system for the dump bodies. The transfer case PTO will do the job but you have to use a gear and chain system to clear the frame crossmember just behind the PTO. It works though and the transfer PTO is lubricated and a constant duty...

    thermostat location m-35 a2

You can get the correct thermostat at Napa , it will be 180 degree, you might have to cut a new gasket. I guess you found it by now, right? If not, its on the front of the engine, at the end of the upper radiator hose. easy to get to. JT

    Fuel Filter Gaskets

I appreciate the interest in my secondary fuel filter adaptors, when I get them all set, I sure hope someone buys them. This is a pretty expensive proposition. I am hurrying as fast as I can on the secondary fuel filter adaptors. I will announce as soon as I can send them out. I have been...

    11.00x20 dual wheel question

There are no "original spacers" On a deuce with dual tandems, you can run 9.00 x 20, 10.00 x 20 or 11.00 x 20 tires on the rims it came with. No spacers. Don't say anything, I know the deuce came only with 9.00 x 20 dual tandems or 11.00 x30 singles. Except for the M108 light crane, it was...

    MEP 003 Question

I was reading some posts over on that other forum on Onan Generators, Our MEP-oo3a genste is also a civilian Onan. We shoukldn't have trouble getting parts. But it might be hard to afford them. I'm feeling lucky for once, I brought mine home, serviced it, put batteries in and started it. Hasn't...

    M35A2 Headlight Bulbs

I priced a new 28 volt headlamp with pigtails on it at Napa 2 years ago and they were $98 each then. I don't doubt some of you can get them for $60 or $65 from Napa with enough volumn discount. I understand because I get a BIG discount on oil and fuel filters for my adaptors. But I would like to...

    Mep002a

I can't speak for the 5 K sets, but on the 10K, the voltmeter guage only reads when the motor is running. at idle the guage reads about 10 to 11 volts, at full RPM, making 60 Hz and 120 V. it reads about 25to 27 volts, in the green, heading toward upper red. I have been running it a lot and it...

    Deuce Belt Interchange

    The Napa # ends in 465 instead of 470. 465 denotes a 46 1/2" belt vs. 470 denoting a 47" belt. JT out

Where to buy air shift switch?

They are available at truck shops, as an air slide fifth wheel lock or in older tractors as dry/slippery road front wheel brake limiters. (Pretty cool huh you old timers, bet you didn't even hardly remembetr dry/slippery front brake limiters. It's fun when you're older than dirt) JT out

    50wt in the Transmission

Spicer transmissions of the 50s, 60s, and 70s always specked 50 wt motor oil. While working in Alaska on the pipeline, we used all the way down to 10wt motor oil in cold weather. It has to be your call, it's your rig. JT out

    Deuce Belt Interchange

I find it better to use a 46 1/2" generator belt instead of the 47" belt you are referring to. When they age some, the 47 is able to stretch and about hit the fuel filter base when tite. Also, no NAPA hose is as good as the military lower hose, from www.adirondackdodgeparts.com or Saturn...
