The problem for tractors is water getting in causing shoes to rust up especially on trucks that sit up for long time exposed to elements. This is not seen on cargo and wreckers as much as the body tends to keep less water from seeping in.

I suspect since the channel is probably a stock size at steel dealers. It is an easy mod done by a few units. Just drill holes and longer bolts plus you can retain the stock 1/3 bumper.

The tank was upgraded to stainless on A2 from the fiberglass and also the landing gear on the A2 tend to be the dual wheel adjustable. Some of them also have the platform for a pump.
