I have a couple questions for the OP ...
Will you be using this as a suppliment to your oil filters ... or to replace them?
How will this installation impact oil pressure build-up times at startup?
I wonder if the Deuce FUEL systems generate enough pressure to power one. That would be interesting for folks running WMO/WVO. Time to start doing some research.
That is one snappy looking little pick up truck!
What is the bed from?
Can you fit any kind of top or tarp on it?
Does the tailgate hang down flat?

Ditch the phone books ... too many problems with moisture and weight.
Crushed aluminum beer and soda cans would give you more protection at far less weight.
You can also save a bit of weight ... and probably cost ... if you use a lighter gauge a steel to form the "cases" ... and glue ceramic...
I'm painting Henry over this spring break and I'm using the Behr paint that everybody seems to be using.
I'm figuring that I'll put on 3 or maybe 4 coats ... going on the idea that many light coats are better then a couple heavy ones.
I'll be spraying the paint on.
Any idea how much time to...
I saw the work that you did and I think it looks great. I also think that the bronze will work just fine in this application.
My only problem is finding it. Do you have any left in your scrap bin?
I'm kinda at a fork in the road. I've already de-splined a set of hubs that I can use, but I...
I worked for Porsche a long time ago (the Boxter was just coming in when I got out) ... as I recall, some of the owners would change oil so frequently ... you could almost filter it and re-use it as lube!
Also, you should be able to get a LOT of it!!!! Them 911's held a LOT of motor oil! Do I...

SWEET!!!!
Neat idea on the headlamps. Y'all might want to consider "Four Eyes" as a nickname.
For your truck I mean ...:D
You might want to run a search on this topic. There are about a bazillion threads here that will give you some great tips on what you'll need.

Has anybody really determined if hubs on both sides MUST be de-splined?
Since its an open differential, I really don't see the need to do both sides.
I do know that this has been a topic of hot debate from time to time.
Not only would it be a cost benefit, but it would save a little work ...
Of the models pictured above ... the 2 jeeps are 1/72 scale.
The rest are larger in 1/32 scale.
If you go to the site you will find they are a lot of different vehicles in a number of scales.

AS for your gasoline question ... you should pour in about 7 gallons of gasoline to about 43 gallons of waste oil in your drum ... this would give you the 85% mix that everybody seems to use, so you'd be de-watering the fuel AND thinning it out all at one shot.
Up there in the UP ... you might...
That would work fine. ... But I would install TWO spigots. The first would be about 5 inches from the bottom, the second would be about 2 inches higher than that one.
Here's why ... when two liquids, like oil and water separate ... they actually form 3 layers ... the oil on the top, the water...
How does one determine if they have the old style head gasket or the new style head gasket ... without pulling the heads? Is there a way?
I got as creative as I could imagine with a search and couldn't come up with a clear answer.
I DID see that the new style gasket can NOT be re-torqued, but...
