There are 12v/24v military alternators. I seen them on newer Humvee's with electronic transmission controls. The alternators are not cheap tho. I don't have a price figure for these alternators.

It's the same truck. I thought it was rough too, but thought it was worth the work to save. The truck is still in the New Orleans area. It's currently sitting in my parent's backyard.

the main diffrencew between the gasser and multi ful radiator, that i know of, is the location of the filler neck and top hose connection. The OMS shop I worked at had some NOS gasser radiators. there is a kit to retrofit electric wipers on an A2. I caught the ire of our chief when i ordered the kits for my battery's dueces. He said spend the end of the year $$$$. He just failed to say what not to spend it on.

I've seen that line dryrot and leak on dueces that did lots of sitting. 2cents

The nitrogen cartridge had a bad habit of flying out if it wasn't seated right. CO2 cartidges will fit, but wont have the same pressure.

When E85 replaces regular unleaded, Chrysler probably will come out with a retrofit kit for Jeeps. Sorta like the fuel injection kit they did for the 4.2l 6 Cyl. If there's a demand, there will be a supply

I think the return lines are 1/4 nylon hose with compression fittings. Flip the hubs and put singles on the rear. The truck looks to be in good shape, a lot better than my duece. I converted an A1 Harness to use on a gas engine. Just needed to convert the flame start wire to provide power...

Get some bulk line, a tubing bender, double flare tool, and lots of patience. I all my hard lines in one day. It's nothing but fun :twisted: :shock: :roll:

If your going to replace your 6.2, spend the extra $$$ for a 6.5. Are you sure it's a rod knock? I've heard 6.2 with what sounded like a rod knock and turned out to be a fuel knock from a leaking injector or blown head gasket. I'd get the truck moved to a diffrent shop and have a compression...

I original rubber pads for the hood are made from hard rubber.. I think there's small round rubber pads for the side panels too.

My old unit had one of those or what was left of one. The unit had been stripped of the compressor, engine was missing parts, and the air tank had been open to the environment.
