    Finally bought a MEP-831a

Just finished watching some YouTube videos about doing a leakdown test. 0%-10% is Good -- 20%+ is questionable. Its almost on 20%, looks like the rings are leaking too much. Cant hear any thing threw exhaust or intake, I can hear air in valve cover when I take oil cap off it. Leak through...

Opps my bad the intake rocker also moves too, it was under tension. Engine was TDC. I did the leakdown test, there is a loss of pressure some where. I could not hear any air threw air intake(filter removed) or the exhaust. I can hear hissing threw top oil cap, this is also close to the air flow...

Is it normal for the exhaust rocker arm to move around like this(side to side)? The Intake rocker is solid as a rock(side to side movement), I have looked at engine TM and yanmar manual and could not find any remarks on this.

    Finally bought a MEP-831a

Did the compression test best I could get is 150PSI. That not nearly close, I checked for leaks on fittings couldn't find any with soap and water. I did observe when I let off of the starter the pressure jumped a tad 20-60 PSI, don't know if this is normal. My brother said I should try applying...

Cylinder compression pressure at 3000 rpm engine speed (turn the starter motor) Standard: 427psi Service Limit: 356psi. The air compressor fitting I use probably won't hold at that pressure. I was able to put something better together. As for low pressure side of injector I'll place a screw...

Thanks Going to seal threads with Teflon tape, and test. From what I've seen others do on YouTube with gas engines, that they crank engine till pressure peaks out at. Is this correct?

This is the best I could come up with for connecting it to injector. Wonder what will happen to the connectors at pressure. Think this is a good idea or bad idea?

Ive just finished finding out where it bogs out at 21.5A x 106.5VAC = 2289.75 Watts. 20% of that is 458 watts so looks like 1831 watts is the limit. Don't know what to say to that lol.

    Mep 803 exhaust pipe/extension

Running it at 21.3A and 105.37 VAC. (VxA=Watts 21.3x105.37= 2244watts. No smoke meter inducates 2.1K. Going to run it at this load for an hour. Unless y'all think I should run it longer, before incressing load by 100 watts every 30min till it smokes or boggs out. Update: 1 hrs Ran set at 21.3A...

okay Ill capture VAC and amps, ill find some smaller items to power up with one heater and we'll see where it like to be output wise. At 10% derate from elevation thats 2700 watts right? Sent from my SM-G935P using Tapatalk

I seen people load test their mep-831a on youtube with 2 1500watt heaters or 1 3000 watt heater. The gen set meter falls right on 3kw or just shy of it. Their sets handel it just fine, the only diffrence I can think of is that im at 2900 ft above sea level. But what you mentioned might be...
