Deuce smoke video, do I need to turn my fuel down?

My suggestion is that if you want to take care of your truck as you indicate, then you should definitely install a pyro. Imagine how you would kick yourself if you didn't and the motor fails... An additional thought: If you have multiple diesel trucks or if you are cheap like me, you can...

    "Inventing" a "New Multi-Fuel Engine"

Re-engineering an existing compression ignition motor into a multi-fuel will probably require new heads, pistons, rods, IP, injectors and maybe a bottom end girder if the compression is significantly bumped. In my opinion, duplicating even 1/2 the success and durability of the...

    Shocked

Well said. When I read a worthwhile post and do not wish to post any 'ole thing, I click on the "Thanks" button. Then again, you can't abuse that form of communication too much either. I found out you get a 24 hour penalty for more than 5 "Thanks" in a session! Rick

    thinning WMO with E85?

If the objective is to get the WMO thinned for filtering, you also have the option of heating the oil before hand. As for using your eyesight to guess the thinning, you can also install pressure gauges on your filter system to observe the operation pressure and monitor for plugged filters. Rick

    thinning WMO with E85?

Why not use a little B100 for dilution thinning? Rick

    Is this radiator salvageable?

This seems like a "right sized" project to build your skills. It's thick metal, low tolerance work that will save you money if you chose to DIY (and the core checks out). Rick

Anyone ever try a "dewatering filter" ?

I guess you will have to experiment with it to see if it works, as in leave an external water separator (with clear base or drain valve) in line with your filtration system until you can prove to yourself this item is reliable. Rick

getting a title but my nuame is not on the SF97

Hooty, I doubt your lawyer is gonna cause anything to happen. I suggest you either part the thing out or take the advise and get a private "for hire" title service to fix your mess. Probably cost less than more attorney fees. Rick

    International five ton Air Force

Awesome and unique truck! Is there anything about TM's on the data plate? Or maybe research the NSN on the 'net for the TM's. What are you needing to diagnose on the electrical? Rick

    FDC and Gauges

That's not true for all pyros. Isspro for example has pyros that require power input. However Isspro makes the power supplies modular. You can remove the 12v module and insert the 24v. And buy the correct illumination bulb! Rick

    my filter setup

Yeah, a single pass through three staged filter mediums does sound smart! Watch out for a slower flow rate, I'd hate to see you have a spill and for you to get oil all over your flip flops! Rick

Converting M35A2 non turbo into Turbo?

Great questions and great way of introducing yourself. My only addition to the idea would be to install a pyrometer (even temporarily) into the exhaust to measure your exhaust temps both before and after the install. The idea being to measure fuel quantity through measured heat, thus assuring...
