I have a friend who is going to watch me take the pump apart and clean it. We will just be rebuilding the old pump with new o-rings and such. The folks at AMBAC told me the head assy was a 4 month lead time and 850.00 if needed.

If I can do it you can. They just pop out and in w/small clip, just make sure the slots on door do not get bent. The inside strip clips onto door card.
YOU CAN DO IT
The weather cooled off a little today, so I went to work on the 2A. Took the hex nut off the pump and pulled the DV out. I turned the engine over by hand and the plunger would move out but I would have too tap back in with hammer and drift. Seems like the spring is not strong enough to push it...

I did not think of the fan nut. Was not sure it was strong enough to turn the engine over. Will give it a try. Sorry for all the FNG questions, always learning somthing new.

I will check this hose, and also will have the pump check by a friend. But I am getting fuel up to the pump. Thanks for the hose info and all your help.
OK I checked every thing that I was told to check, the shut-off is working and the lever is free and follows the solenoid up. Getting about 30 psi while cranking. Still not getting any fuel through the pump. I have seen the plunger stick in M-100 heads of the same design, would it help to clean...
