I swapped out the 24 volt solenoid for the 12 volt solenoid from the old CUCV pump. I also swapped the top cap.
If I had to do it again, I would just install a new CUCV pump.
I installed the same engine in my M1028A2 Dually. see thread below.

You don't need to change the oil pan, it will fit in your truck.
The oil pan on the GM 6.2 engine will not fit on the GEP 6.5 engine. When...
Bought two new batteries today from pep boys...35% off on line. Great deal.
Installed the batteries, was going to replace the fuel filter but it is brand new. Air filter is new also. Looks like they just serviced the truck.
Primed the fuel system and turned the key.........it started right up...
I thought about removing the bed. Truck is still on the trailer and I'm almost have the tank dropped. I removed 20 gallons of clean looking fuel already which is a good sign.
Started the truck this morning after the long trip to Iowa and back. Had fuel leaking under the truck.
Opened the hood and fuel was spraying out the side of the injector pump. Looks like o-ring failure on the side cover. Screws were tight.
I took a side cover off a used spare I had and it...
Took a few pictures today. Engine looks good. Batteries will not take a charge.
Nice never used jack setup behind the seat.
Going to drop the fuel tank and make sure it's clean( fuel cap was missing and who knows what went into the tank )
To due list after cleaning tank is:
Replace fuel...
Made it home at 6 am this morning. No issues.
I was traveling at about 68 to 73 MPH most of the way. Traffic in Atlanta on Friday was a killer. Stop and go.
Update: I'm about 8 hours from Camp Dodge.
Left South Florida Tuesday around 3 pm. Drove until 4 am and took a nap for a few hours at a rest stop in Tennessee.
Picking the dually up Thursday morning.
Are we talking about the CUCV-II Dually or the LSSV ?
2000, CUCV-II is all stock...Manual windows/locks, AM/FM Radio, AC. They all came this way.
2005, LSSV is the same except it does have a factory CD player.
Update:
GP had me down for a pickup no later than today(31st). Called the REP (Tom Forst ) and I can do the pickup later.
Plans are to be at Camp Dodge on the 9th of June to do the recovery. REP says he out at OKC and as long as I can do the loading by myself, I can show up any day in the week...
1,600 miles one way.:-( Thinking of a plan that will work right now with everything going on.
ps. I got the new trailer tires for the trailer parked at your place. Have to remove them and take them to Costco's to get mounted.
