Thanks for the info! I'm really hoping it's just improper line seating, seems like the truck runs too well to be a serious problem. I'll definitely get pics up when progress starts.

The suspense is getting me, why'd we have to go and break the server yesterday..... Taking all patracy's time and leaving none for voting thread creating.... :not worthy:
:patracy: love you buddy
You know me too well 😆. The leak looks to be the lines coming out of the top seen in the pic, I don't know what Viton O-rings are yet, but if they're the ones that stop fuel from pooling in the fittings, they're what failed. Hopefully I'll get some time tomorrow to dedicate to it. Appreciate the...
You can register them in Michigan, but for off road use only. Currently there's legislation in motion to change that, though I'm not sure what it entails, and I have read that you can get a permit to operate off road vehicles on road, but haven't actually looked into it yet
Looks like it's my turn guys. When under pressure it seeps, not terribly but enough to hit the ground so in we go. I'll be studying the rebuild threads and taking all the advice anyone cares to give, and of course, posting progress pics. Taker easy!
It's hard to say because words like "value" and "worth" change definition regionally, in my neck of the woods as it sits it would be in the 14-17k retail range, finished and pretty (not that its ugly, she's a b'ute!) I would be surprised if it didn't crest 20k. I'm also well north of the rust...
Also, check your engine tag for date of manufacture. I got curious and found out my engine is 30 years newer than I thought it was. Hope things with yours are going well
I looked into it shortly after getting the truck 🤣
That sounds beautiful! Thanks for sharing, not a whole lot of difference between the two, unless mines an LDS with a late model LDT tag on it 😯...... I'll find out when its my turn to refresh 😬.
Also is there a substitute anyone has used with success? When the ones I ordered get here I'm going to take them to a hardware store and see what they come up with, hoping someone beat me to it. If not I'll post what they say here
I did and it appears to be so! It's an English 3035, can't find a year or anything and it's just a 3 line data tag but still, it's been swapped. T case looks original but is way too clean and the paints too nice, so I'm looking into that today. As for the dyno, I looked into it, but for what...
I think its actually 164, either way guessing the original puked and in went this one. It's strange, this turbo whistles pretty loud, which is why I thought it was the C originally, but I looked at it today while I was under the truck and there it was, stamped on the bottom of the unit...
Soooo this whole time I thought I had a Hercules with a c turbo....... Wrong! It's a D turbo, and the engine tag says mfd in 2 of 92!! The more you know.....
I especially love the advertised HP of 4, seems accurate 😆. Onward and upward!!!
Read the tm on how to replace it, question I have is since the pedal has been minutely engaged since she's been parked, are there any issues I should look for? I bled the air system completely before parking, and it's only been a week or so she's been sitting. TIA
