Well, the "Hot Tub Module" or HTM is still a go, if you don't mind the 'Enclosed Version'.....it holds 600 gallons (half full), is made of stainless steel, has great privacy and it can bee heated to your preference, by means of an electric submersion heater! lol
On the Gun truck module; not so...
Thanks everyone for the nice comments!
I have not had a chance to try it of course, but theoretically the crane should be able to lift the FSM (Fire Suppression Module) with a full contingent of water in it.
The empty FSM weights 3200 # and 1200 gallons of water weigh in at 9960# for a...
Fire Suppression Module
Sorry for the 'slump' in the FEMTT thread but I had several other jobs that I had to focus on. :(
Anyway, we are having a very dry Spring here in Chama and I figured that it would probably be a smart idea to finish the 'FIRE SUPRESSION MODULE' for the FEMTT.
It...
Funny You say that.....I was going to tackle the HET mirrors next! I actually have hit a traffic sign in Santa Fe with my right mirror!
The lanes there on St. Francis Drive are very narrow and the sign post is right at the edge of the road. It slammed the mirror in to my side window but luckily...
Operation "DUMBO EARS"...... :)
So after having had a chance to 'work' the FEMTT on the mountains for some months, my biggest complaint was that the rear view mirrors were hitting everywhere on the trails. I was annoyed by the fact, that whenever the passenger side mirror got pushed in by a...
What you described about the rpm coming down really slow after revving it up, is a very typical tell-tale for air in the fuel!
I would definitely look for an air leak. Pressurizing the tank as suggested is a good way to try to find it. As was pointed out, make sure the tank vent line is free of...
Drew, on a naturally aspirated diesel engine it is ok to run it back in to the intake. On a turbo charged diesel engine it is a no no! It creates a very real danger for a runaway. The problem is not when all is well, as you pointed out, it will not get enough oil to matter. If you have a piston...
Thanks again everybody for all the very flattering compliments! You guys sure have a way to make a fellow MVer feel better, when things are not quite going the way he would like them to be going...... Thank you all a bunch!
Oh, and I will see if I can round up any pics of some my past...
The ones I'm talking about are second or third generation! I will look up the part number of the civi ones that I used tomorrow and get back with you. They are for the JK Jeeps and I know those are Omni-voltage for sure.

Sounds good thanks! NAPA said that they can get all the military Trucklite stuff, but it is all special order from the factory! Probably more expensive as well. They hade the civi ones in stock for around $450 a pair. Got the ones on Ebay for $237 for two!
Also, it was easy to just cut the...
Looks awesome Matt! What a difference paint can make......It does not even look like the same trailer you picked up here!
Nice job on the paint....is the camo pattern in accordance with the TM I assume?

Actually the 1.8 mpg is fully loaded, towing an M1A1 on the M1000 trailer. I have put over 8000 miles on my HETs and can safely say, that the M1070 does get a steady 4.0 to 4.2 mpg, running just the tractor empty..... even "screaming" along at 47 mph! [thumbzup]
Just for what it's...
Yes I agree with you. Proper fifth wheel weight is crucial for the M1070 getting traction! Looking at the side view of your rig, it seems that with the boats propulsion systems putting a lot of weight aft and compounded by the forward location of the trailer axles, you must have very little...
