That is an excellent thread. The prices have gone up a bit (like everything else) but it gives a good idea of "hidden" costs that you might not think about.
M35s are still out there, in private hands. They pop up in the Steel Soldiers classifieds pretty often. I've seen prices for good running...
In the event of a tie, there is a runoff. Correct? Seems like that happened once before. I did gain another year today, so my memory might be slipping 😆
ETA: Since the person who I voted for has agreed, I will wait until Sunday (a lot could change by then) and change my vote. Peer pressure and...
Welcome to Steel Soldiers! Yes, the 1987 M35A2 is an excellent choice. I love my 72 model, but it does not have dual circuit brakes. I plan to convert mine at some point. If these trucks are properly maintained and driven sensibly, they will last for a long time. Good luck to you!
Welcome! Sounds like you've got some fun work ahead. As Ken already mentioned, you've found the best spot on the 'net to gather info about MVs. Great group of folks here, too. Best of luck to you.
When I bought my Deuce, the original generator wasn't working. I swapped it to a modern 24V Delco clone using the same design (flat bar and spacer at the rear) that yours has. I copied what was posted in a thread on Steel Soldiers (can't seem to find it now). Nice thing about the way its mounted...

Welcome to Steel Soldiers! You came to the right place for info on the Deuce, or any other MV. I'm still learning myself, but there are folks on here who know every nut and bolt on these trucks. What questions do you have?
Nice trade! I found some info on titling in FL:

Welcome to the forum, and good luck!
Welcome (back?) to the forum, and the madness. Searching for "the right one" is much like fishing. Much patience is required. A wanted ad in the classifieds here could help, and won't hurt. I've noticed that a lot of MVs show up in private sales around Jan/Feb, when a lot of folks get their...
Not many trees in that part of the country, for sure. Maybe paint it in layered tans and orange, pretend it's a huge boulder? I might invite a few of the other RVers over for a beer, and let them check it out. Nice rig!
