Syrion,
I chose the 5 ton due to the carrying capacity. I needed something that could carry in excess of 5 tons. I chose the M809 series (Mine is a M813) due to its mechanical simplicity. It is very much like your M54. I almost bought an M814 that has the 20' bed just to have the added volume...
Replacement float was an exact fit and VUALA! For the first time the Fuel gauge actually shows something on the dial and it IS HALF>>>>>>>> FULL! Yes!
I found that my down spout tube in my tank did not have any holes in it... Yet! But it was well underway of getting them. Because I have some...
Made what I am calling "The poor man's Air Intake MOD" or AIM. After looking into the replacement of my air filter, I came across some discussion on the filter only getting partially used due to the housing design. I saw this "issue" when I removed my filter for the first time. You can see in...
Unfortunately I kicked my float with my foot against a ladder where I was checking it out and pinched in the side of it.You can see with just the tap of my foot it was all messed up. The lower crack is where it was originally split causing it to sink. The mashed spot is Where I bumped it and it...
Took my "old school" stock canister off today and it did have a bit of garbage at the bottom in the catch area but all in all was very nice. It cleaned up in just a few minutes and I started thinking I will spend my money on something else rather that replacing what looks to be working great. I...
Dropped the stock filter housing off today and Yes it was looking chunky in the bottom but all in all was looking quite nice, that is nice after a few minutes with a wire brush and scotch bright. I do like the tuff housing of the sock caniser and was wondering if maybe I should just keep it and...
Ordering some fuel parts for the BOT. #20 and #17 button. The 20 I will use after I verify where my fuel rail pressure is (I am guessing 150psi) and the 17 when I get a turbo. I am also putting in the dual fuel mod, I will be using 6AN parts for this. I have also ordered a mechanical 0- 200PSI...
Thank you for the reply.
Were you able to do this with a 800 series? With the M813s self disengauging transfercase I would think it would on the road be the same as driving a Jeep with the hubs left locked but the transfer-case unlocked. I have friends who have rigs like this and have felt it...
Thanks for the chime in. Since we are talking fuel system parts I never got any traction on the size of the return line.
Stock line sizes are 1/2 supply and 3/8 return.

If I update my supply lines with 10AN fittings...
In each of the installations I have viewed on M809 series and M900 series, I see one, two or even three filters run in series in the stock location between the tank and the lift pump. I have not seen any pictures or description of a filter post lift pump. I do see the benefit of doing a final...
The M813 has only a lift pump. So in this instance both filters being run in series is fine. Only a suction tube in the tank, line from the tank to the filters and then onto the pump.
I have been looking to swap my canister filter out and am still not sure to what fitting is on the top of the...
I posted some pics back in April of how my old Goodyear tires sat on HEMTT steel wheels. Front sticks out just a bit and rears are tucked in just a bit. Several others posted some pics of what they have. From the questions answered there, many run HEMTT steel wheels on the front and combat...
I was thinking the on demand clutch fan would be nice for deep water crossings and the HP savings. Still interested, but not until a long list is done.
Looking to replace fuel supply and return lines. Are the fuel return lines required to be "smaller" than the supply side?
From what I have read here on SS the NHC 250 pump connection is a 7/8-14 but for the rest the TM lists the connection back on the pickup tube as" "inverted nut tube c." Which...
Very impressive skills and attention to detail as well as choice of materials and parts. Even the stars on the roof are cool! May you have many days enjoying your hard work and planning. The overall look of your ride and the start to finish transformation is tops. Excellent job.
Looks Great! Fun stuff! I very much like the M813 ;) Best wishes on your progress. Here in Utah we have salt that is dumped onto the roads which eats everything. I found on a FJ40 I owned for 20 years that POR15 paint was amazing for rust areas. Could be an excellent base layer over the "battle...
