    Turret Support Pillar - M1045/6

Here is a Turret of the 1151A1. It appears the 1151s dont make use of the turret support. The unfortunate thing is that these roofs are significantly wider than the 1045a2 roofs. Otherwise, these may be the way to move forward without the rare and expensive turret support

If only they all looked like this!

Check out this one. This guy's down in Florida. This truck looks like it just rolled off the line. Super clean.

    Turret Support Pillar - M1045/6

The idea here is that the ring WON'T make use of the unobtainum parts. It would use the gov planet parts which are more common. Again, The GovPlanet B Pillar has 2 bolts going through the center of the Pillar. This new ring would make use of that, the existing attachment points on the A...

    Turret Support Pillar - M1045/6

I think the same thing. But I wonder the expense of the first prototype. Once its confirmed and everything works then it would be easier to run off a batch of them. Everyone with a turret hole in their trucks A2 series and earlier could make use of them. But its eating the cost of the...

    Turret Support Pillar - M1045/6

Lol. 1045s and 1046s are 4 doors my man. Someone or myself once I find time will come up with a solution for this issue by fabricating a platform that will secure itself to the bolts in the gov planet pillars

Yep, understood, but the OEM parts are quickly becoming unobtainium.

    Turret Support Pillar - M1045/6

Has anyone considered making a custom fitted piece that bolts onto the existing GovPlanet B Pillar and provides a platform for the bearing to sit upon, think like a saucer or dish in which the bearing can sit in and a 'cover' or 'hatch' on top of the bearing with a locking meachanism...

Got these from Eastern and they're a little rough. I don't know if they will work but I will give them a shot. These were $50 plus shipping

    IbisTek Tire Retainer (Carrier)

Thank you all for the guidance. Here is the rim and tire that would be loaded onto the carrier. Do we think there would be clearance to lower the tire for use or even get it on?

Sound deadening and custom interior install project

I love the enthusiasm and the thread. As I also have the m1045a2 I'd like to know more as to what you did with the turret and what components you used.

    IbisTek Tire Retainer (Carrier)

Looking at the bolts on the face of these things it doesn't look promising for aftermarket wheels. I suppose it could be modified like anything else.
