To my knowledge, I haven't had it. 2 shots + booster + work from home + little social life, helps.
Long covid sounds like a bitch, I'm more scared of that than dying.
I think there's still a good deal out there. Hell, I practically tripped over an engine swap. Guy wanted my engine for a...
Long time no see.
I have started looking around on deals that might show up for a 5 ton and/or trailer. Not too seriously as I don't have a place to park one, but if the deal is good enough...
Well, I'm still working on the Deuce. I tripped and fell into an engine swap, and that's gonna happen in about a month. Kind of a shame after I spent $1k sound proofing the cab against our rather loud engines. After the swap, I figure I'll have the quietest M35 cab, ever! I'm probably 1-2...
Friend of mine is doing an engine swap on his M61A2, and though he is registered here he rarely posts so I thought I would pass some pics along and some general info.
He also is changing the transmission to a Spicer 6453
He's relayed to me that the L10 is longer and taller, so he's raising the...
Thought this thread had died out. Thanks for the continued input.
If I had to move it on local, relatively flat roads with a top speed of 25 mph, I think the Deuce would be just fine.
After reading the first few replies, I thought better safe than sorry. Also, if I get in an accident, I...
I was reading another thread about making bad choices and this probably falls under that category.
Background:
I want a FV102 tracked vehicle (or maybe a CVRT). Thing is, my state won't let me drive it on paved roads, but there are LOTS of unpaved logging roads near me. I just need to...
I usually spend my time on in the Deuce threads, but I have several 10 lug wheels which someone suggested came off a M1076 trailer.
I'm wondering, among the US military vehicles are all 10 hole wheels the same lug spacing, are the wheels interchangeable in that way?
I know the offsets can be...
I went 10 pages deep and didn't see a thread like this, if there's one already, feel free to link it.
I'm starting to think if the price if right I might be able to get a tracked vehicle, but I thought I'd ask people who own one (or more) what they do with theirs.
I read the thread on...
I've crossed mountain ranges 4 times with this truck, I know what it's like to hug the right lane, uphill in 3rd gear. And truth be told, I don't mind. You don't buy a Deuce expecting it to be something it's not. I really like the adaptation of the multifuel. No longer will I be able to...
Looks like I'll be doing an engine swap in the next few months. I'd toyed with it, but figured, realistically, it was at least 2-3 years in the future if ever. However a friend ran into a guy looking for a LDT-465 engine (I have 2) who happens to own three 6 BT's and he's got a full shop.
So...
One alternative to the stock in-tank pump are some from aircraft tanks. They were pretty easy to find not too long ago, and far, far cheaper than stock. If you want to go that route, I could probably find you some part numbers.
My 395's (actually 15.5's) came on 50-50 offset wheels, probably from a M1076 trailer. The advantage to this is this offset means you don't have to worry about your steering hitting the tires.
I have a full set for sale (dirt cheap), with adapter plates but shipping would be steep to LA.
I...
The main cluster will contain:
Speedometer
Tachometer (w/hours)
Air psi
Oil psi
Water temp
Pyrometer
high beam indicator
Now that that's out of the way, I am going to be installing an overflow cluster. I know that gauges can be crammed into multi units, but I like a separate gauge for each...
I'm designing my next house. Don't know when I'm gonna build it, but it's gonna have a 1500 sq/ft garage and capable of housing a HEMTT (along with my other vehicles) just in case I can swing one.
