What sucks about using electric goop or whatever it is is that you have to fight with cleaning it out if you need to pull the terminal block apart. But YMMV - I'm just not a fan of anything like that :sick:

What's the make and model of your alternator? It looks like what I found here in the Parts TM but... Backwards? And missing screw holes for the terminal cover.
Unfortunately there's no NSN reference for the terminal cover on that alternator.
Have you tried printing this in ABS? That'll do a lot for durability.

This is for your old gasser right? I'd say give it a shot. Up to you if you want to try and keep the transmission or try to mate it with the old 5-speed. I don't know anything about the 6-speed automatics that came with that motor or the load it can handle.
It could be something as simple as uneven air pressure in the front wheels or a little more involved like a tie rod end on the wobbly wheel. I think at worst it could be a wheel bearing.

I'm not sure how realistic that is for a 50+ year old truck designed for both on and off-road operation, and even then not go much faster than 55 MPH. I'd be especially concerned about braking power. I think some members here have done it though, so I guess it's kinda realistic.

I read your question a second time and realized that I found you an adapter plate and not a flywheel. According to the TM a flywheel swap isn't necessary, just the adapter plate:
