So let me understand? You went and replaced parts and have the engine in running condition. And now you are asking how much can I sell engine for?
Why aren't you going to use the engine in your truck after the work you done? I would after the work you have done. Why not?
Are you going to sell...
I do not know which tire size you currently have on the 939 but is it possible to use a tire with a softer sidewall? Just wondering, if you do not plan on transporting heavy weights then maybe a little help in using the tires as a cushion may help.
Several overall components have an effect on toe in or out, negative or positive caster and negative or positive camber. Read a little on all to understand what each one does and the effects that it has on drivability.
Tie rods, ball joints, king pins, bushings, wheel bearings, all have an...
fuzzytoaster the front tires on the 817A1 are monsters. I have to wonder if the tires on your Truck are enough to float it. I would imagine that if you had to float to get somewhere you could take one of the tires off and travel a great distance.
That is one Tough Truck. The 817A1 has my vote...
It was brought to my attention that the TM calls for transmission fluid in the hydro-vac system of the HMMWV. I was not aware of that and should not have stated that PS fluid is used.
This can and will be debated for obvious reasons.
However there is a difference in that PS fluid is a higher...
Definitely worth the time to just brows and spend time to get familiar with looking threw the TM's. And if you have a printer then print out what you need or all.
I need to get a printer. Simple adjustment like a carburetor.

Is the truck smoking more than normal? When you change fuel filter dump out old fuel in filter into a clear glass jar without lid and look at the fuel. Look for water, and black specks, fuel hose deteriorating. Also rust, color is hard to see but flakes aren't.
A lot...

Do you wish to part out? Or just sell as is and save your time for other things? They are not to available in my area and when I can I will acquire for the right cost, tear down and onto...
Welcome aboard Sjoconnor. Looking at the TM's should always be looked at to give more insight of any current problems but you have a tendency to see other topics also gaining more knowledge of other systems, uses, or the correct parts or installation has been done.
A lot of the problems may be...

We all want economy for repairs. We all want you to succeed with your quest for resurrecting an old warrior. The older more abused bodies take more attention to get near "new" or "young" results. Right Gents? Sometimes there is one that needs extra attention. Your Truck looks to be able to...
Wow the MV's up for Top are incredible again this month. After the talk about the pool and the MV jetski, and now a GPA with the summer ending and the lake shot.
Well it is hard to resist, but the one question that I have is,
"where is the diving board".
You know a fella has to have an edge...
To bad your not my nephew and we could work out a solution, but I would not "sell" you the truck. Knowing the labor and capital it is going to take to revive the old Lady. Good Luck in your interest and maybe your Uncle will be happy that you are wanting to save the Truck.
