I just finished up my little project airsoft rifle.
It started as a new Tokyo Mauri M16a2 and was then converted back to a vietnam era m16 with a G&P full metal reciever and front set, straight grip, and a Mauri m16vn rear stock with no trap door. also a 110 spring and a Systima 6.04...
This past weekend I took the deuce down to the local Christmas parade like usual. I normally take the 715 also, but due to all the snow I didn't want to expose it to a bunch of road salt. So I strung some garland and bows around the deuce and off we went.
Who else decorates thier trucks...
Let the green paint flow! :D They just look more at home with a good coat of OD if you ask me. It's a fine looking truck you have there, and it looks like you still most of the hard to find parts still on it, especially now if you have found a good tailgate for it. The hood mount for the BO...
Yep, that makes more sense now. What is funny is that your truck appaers to have been issued 36 trucks after the one pictured in the junkyard. 241-205=36
Are you sure that your's is a 69' Does it still have the original built date on the data plate? I question this because your registration # does not follow suit for 1969 marked trucks. 5A2411 would indicate that it was built before 1969. Trucks built from 1968 and up until the change to the...
I had read somewhere that all vehicles in the CONUS at that time had the national symbol (white star) displayed on them , but a lot of vehicles in combat areas removed them because they made nice targets for the enemy to aim at. The only camo I would think that these trucks saw would be MERDEC...
Yep, 24087 OD Green is the proper color for M715's. It will give you a truck that looks like this.
If you decide to put markings on it let me know as I have been making them for 715's here http://www.i2k.com/~schwarzd/

Yep, I know that the gun is not right. It is made up of several pieces of inexpensive airsoft guns to make one that looks close and is still full auto. I have under $100 into it and it looks fairly decent for plastic. Right now though I'm collecting up the pieces to build a full metal airsoft...
$1000, trailered it home 50 miles because of no air pressure. The PO thought it had a blown compressor. Head gasket on the compressor was bad, $1 in gasket material and I was driving it 1/2 hour after I got it home.
Here, check my reply from this thread;http://www.steelsoldiers.com/modules.php?op=modload&name=PNphpBB2&file=viewtopic&t=7236&highlight=handle
Door mechs come out fairly easily throught the access panel inside the door. Remove the outer handle, then the inner handle. Then screws around the...
I had to remove the mount from behind the drivers seat, because I had to move the seat back 3" so that I could fit behind the wheel. I'm 6'3" and my legs would not fit under the wheel until I moved the seat back. So I decided to do the commanders mount from the TM as a place to show my weapon.
Thanks for the comments, I could not find any good info on the mounts for the rear of the 715, so I built my own. I used a piece of tubing that the gun mount would slide down into. Added a plate to the bottom that I bolted through the bed floor. Also added one to the front lip of the bed for...
