There are pics on my site http://www.davidallenracing.com/M715.htm that show the mounts. I paid $150 for mine on ebay. This is the guy I got mine from, he has them up for sale quite frequently...
I drive around with my .50 cal on my M715 always. It is a resin replica and I added two orange bands of tape to the end of the barrel. I asked a local sherrif about it and he said that as long as they could clearly see the orange they wouldn't bother me. Makes you wonder if you added the...
They are out there, you just have to beat the bushes to find a good deal on one. I found mine this past fall in Holland, Michigan for a $1000 from a guy selling it.
The body was rough, but the drive train and motor were solid. A little bit of work and tracking down a few new pieces and I...
Yep, the GLMVPA is a good group to join. Dues are only $15 a year. They have several shows and a few trail rides at Camp Grailing. And if things work out there will be a military show & swap meet on Sept. 16th of this year at the fall festival here at the Silver Lake Sand Dunes. Then after...
I went to the show this past year. I thought it was a good show, lots of nice people and quite a few vehicles there. It is usually held in late August. I took my M715 over for it, and caught the deuce bug while there. I came home and bought a deuce about 2 weeks later. Here is a link to a...
When I bought my deuce, it had the side marker lights and lollypop turn signals on it from the military. The lollypop signals were just hooked up to the front turn signal wire with a multi-plug that let you plug both leads into the one supply wire. The side markers thought had a complete extra...
They are out there. It just takes time to find them. I bought mine for $1000, and found it only 50 miles from home. And it also has the D turbo in it.
6 weeks work and $1500 in new parts turned it into this
I have a buddy who has a 67' M35a2 with the LD-465 non turbo and it has side exhuast on it. His also has the older style mirrors on it where my 67' has the LDT-465D with stack and the west coast mirrors. I guess it all depends on where and when they were rebuilt at.
I was just in a few Christmas parades also, but there where no prizes awarded.
I love the looks you get when rolling thru with a bunch of old military iron. Lots of waves and salutes.
I just finished up my restoration with Gillespie #24087 and I used 5.5 gallons to do mine. But that is to paint everything! That's frame rails, under the bed, inside the cab, troop seats and bows, everything but the tires and seat covers!
Seller is rmedges2lo0, he has one right now up with slight damage with a buy it now of $125

I have a resin M2 on my M715 that I got off ebay. The guy puts them up every so often. I got it really cheap and it looks nice when mounted. Nobody ever notices that it's resin until I tell them.
I have searched the hot rod forum before and have not found the info I was looking for. An nice well written tech article where people could find the info quickly without having to search all over would help.
My truck was a European truck, as it was rebuilt at Kaiserslautern Army Depot in Germany in 10/89. The lollypop turn signals just looked out of place and had to go, along with the marker lights to make it look period correct for a 67' truck.
I plan on turning up the fuel on it now that I have the truck done. With the body done it will give me the time to tinker with the mechanicals.

Thanks for the comments everyone. It was a quick resto job being that I started 10/14/05 and finished 12/2/05. Towards the end it started to feel like a bad episode of American Choppers or American Hotrod, were the deadline is closing in fast and parts haven't shown up yet. :? I...
Yesturday I finished up the last of the pieces needed to complete the restoration of my 67' M35a2 that I bought this fall. I'm just getting ready to head out the door to head to a Christmas parade with it and my 67' M715. My big goals were to have the truck finished for the parades, and I just...
My 67' Kaiser has one piece headlight doors that appear to be original. When I took it apart you could see were the layers on repaints met on the fenders. And it went all the way back to a repaint with OD #24087 from the late 60's early 70's before 4 color camo was applied. But like any of...
