Nice! I did a parade last week, but the generator for the lights quit just as we started moving out of the staging area. What are you using as a power source?
My understanding is that you can't put m51 sheetmetAL on an m817 because the engine is longer. Unless, I suppose, if they also swapped in the multifuel.
I got a chance to go down yesterday. Due to weather and other complications, I wasn't able to take my truck, but I did get to meet some nice folks. Had a good time. Got to tag along on a trail ride. I was impressed with what it could do. Thanks to everyone for making me feel welcome. Hope...
I agree. Looks like what I just took out of my m51. I found a combination of water, algea, and the oil I had tried to run (its the multifuel) mixed in with the diesel. I drained the tank, tried to rinse with some fresh fuel, and replaced all the filters. Only running diesel from here out.
Mine(52 mack m51a2) was having trouble maintaining over 40 mph, then started to cut out on takeoff. Found water in the system. Draining tanks and swapping filters should hopefully do the trick.
Not to hijack, but while changing the primary filter on mine yesterday, I noticed that the filter...

Thanks. I was doing a "quick and dirty" rattle can job for now so that it was one color at least. Used some posterboard. I intend to redo it the right way next summer. I'll probably hit you up when it's time for that.
I have one of those I used to pull my rear duals when rebuilding the wheel cylinder. It seemed to hold up fine with no issues/damage for me. And that's with my 340 pound butt cranking on a 4-5 foot cheater pipe while doing it.
The first go round you pull the hex nuts off, allowing the outer...
Thanks everyone for the help. Here's what I found.
TB 746-93-1 is from 1964. It has the markings on the hood and white stars on the hood and doors, etc.
TB 43-2090 was from 1976 and superceded TB 746-93-1. It covers the camo patterned paint. Very helpful, almost a paint by numbers diagram.
