Moving on to the more technical box construction, the walls and ceiling are built 16" on center using 1.5" thick studs. The studs are a Z shape so the skin rivets are offset. The roof starts about 3" thick in the center and tapers off to about 2" towards the outside.

To the left of the A/C unit, there is a bracket that had insulation behind it. I'm not sure what mounts here. Mine had a couple of nutserts here. If you wanted to rivet something heavy in here, this would be the spot to do it since it has some additional bracing.

The insulation is a 1.5" thick fiberglass mat in a semi sealed poly bag. It fits nicely in a 55 gallon drum. Note...this drum is now fully insulated and will make a nice home for something this winter.

I'm not too familiar with the hose issue. Would a universal one from Jegs or Summit work? I have so much work on the ambulance rv conversion so I have not even crossed this bridge yet. All I did was purchase a 12v LN replacement to get rid of the DUVAC, haven't even touched the wiring yet.

Sounds like a cool build. My only question is why take a CUCV and pretty much gut it down to a cab/chassis to rebuild it again with new everything? I would think doing that to something a little more desirable by the mass public would make a more valuable truck in the end.
If you have the money, do it. I would advocate for spending money on quality replacement parts to minimize failures. I do not DD mine but in 4 years time, I never had anything in the engine bay leave me stranded. I also went through and replaced or rebuilt everything to minimize this.
