    CCKW/G506 data plates

WW2 Chevy-We must be glutton for punishment...we have multiple deuces(3 G749, 1 m35) and multiple horses:oops:. Thanks for posting that sheet on what the model number decode as. Yesterday I was scoping out a G506 that has a NJ in the serial number. Looking at your sheet it looks like it must be...

    CCKW/G506 data plates

Thanks for the info. I have a few post wwii deuces and find the standardization of them is a such a blessing. As I've looking towards the G506+g508 series trucks, my perception is it was much more whatever they felt like building that day-or so it seems. Is these series of trucks attracting...

    CCKW/G506 data plates

I know very little about the CCKW and G506 and I am trying to figure out where the data plates for each would be located? Also do they have any serial number stampings on the frame or anywhere else to help identify the truck? Do the data plates typically divulge whether they were a Winch truck...

Well its been a few days, and life gets in the way, but got my engine back from the machinist. While the engine was sitting outside, with a couple plugs out of it, got some water in it and one or two of the cylinder walls froze and cracked out. I didn't think it could be salvaged, but machinist...

G749 Trucks hard to come by

Well this maybe a bit off topic or perhaps right on topic depending how you look at things. After the last few years anything is not necessarily able to be considered odd. So I was working on a WWII jeep I've had for quite awhile and about 15years ago or so I replaced the speedometer cable, it...

Those engines looks sweet. I fired the deuce up the other day...brake pedal went to the floor. I am waiting to hear back from the engine machinist on my spare 302. Ready to start making headway on that project

Yeah, 90F here has no appeal. I wouldn't mind experiencing it just once, But that would be with A/C close at hand.

    G749 Parts List

This looks like a nice gasket set for the intake/exhaust manifold set. Extra thick in case you have an eroded manifold https://catalog.remflex.com/CHEVROLET_GM_CHEVY_Header_Exhaust_Manifold_Gasket_p/2046.htm

G749 Trucks hard to come by

It fit perfect! Bing bang boom. Done. The only thing I didn’t have and was gonna look at my other trucks was the bracket above the exhaust connections-I’m not sure what goes there. And lastly to finish the job I had to put the spare in place
