CTIS pressure settings increase - no programming, transducer, or module required.

As @GeneralDisorder does, I *assume* the M939A2 CTIS ECU will plug and play in the LMTV A0 variants. Easy enough to check. Use the M939A2 CTIS schematic from post#65 and match to your A0 schematic?

Eco Hubs 3.90 or 3.07 for Best Fuel mileage

My two cents: For balanced performance and fuel efficiency 3126B 330 hp 3.90 gears and eco hubs 85psi tires spin 2000rpm at 60mph in 5th gear CAT suggests: 2000 rpm @ 60 mph (97 km/h) subject to the following: Maximum cruise speed of 65 mph (105 km/h) or below. Maximum recommended engine speed...

Eco Hubs 3.90 or 3.07 for Best Fuel mileage

Looking at our crawl-ratio sheet showing standard 2:1 wheel hubs, EcoHubs, 3.90's and 3.07's at rpm's for 1440 (peak torque), 2000 (suggested 60mph), and 2400 (suggested max) rpm's: 3.90's hit CAT's suggested "best balance of performance and fuel economy" in 5th gear. Thank you @Xengineguy...

Eco Hubs 3.90 or 3.07 for Best Fuel mileage

CAT 3126b spec sheet states: For the best balance of performance and fuel economy, spec axle ratios and tire sizes to obtain: 2000 rpm @ 60 mph (97 km/h) subject to the following: Maximum cruise speed of 65 mph (105 km/h) or below. Maximum recommended engine speed at cruise — 2400 rpm. Minimum...

Newbie Alert! New LMTV in DFW

@Suprman likely has the right CTIS controller for your unit and more important: will tell you if he doesn't and confirm a unit he has is not 5 solid. Using a 900 series is not a big deal, you just have to pull pins on the controller to isolate the J1939 circuit from it. There are several...

Eco Hubs 3.90 or 3.07 for Best Fuel mileage

@GeneralDisorder is correct: 3.90 is closer to ideal with EcoHubs. 4.50's (or 4.44's) would be awesome on these rigs. Seventh gear would show up on the flats. We have no experience with the 3.07's. On and off road so far we like the way our truck reacts with 3.90's and EcoHubs—

    CTIS - electrical smoke

@Plasa units are really nice. And the circuit board does all the thinking. I have been looking at how to incorporate the data and push button face into the dash/central console and stashing the rest of the innards with the PCU behind the foot kick—

    CTIS - electrical smoke

Sounds like the resistor in the J1939 circuit burned up, it lives under the PDP, there is another in the engine compartment near the engine ECM. We replaced our dead ECU with one from a M939. These CTIS ECU's conflict with those on the LMTV. Or it did on ours, burned up R12 and R13 until we...

M1079 box heater operation using truck power?

I would argue that insulating the roof is at least as important as the sides, even with the solar shading. The shading will greatly reduce radiant energy gain, though will do little for conduction and convection gains during hot times, and nothing to reduce condensation at the ceiling's thermal...

Thoughts on removing coil springs on A1R

    Hi from ETexas

Nice looking unit. Hmmm. Looking at the requirements for title and/or registration for a Texas trailer I see a requirement for proof of insurance, though not inspection. Trailers under 4,000# gross weight do not require a title—
