I will check the rubber boot...yes quite possible this is not secured properly. As far as Private Ryan jamming the gears...well that's highly probable...lol!!!
The truck sat for a long time. The only time I drove it was from my house to shop which was about 3 miles. I've never changed it before. I have it in the repair shop where my friend is the mechanic. I believe he used 80W90 Gear Oil

I recently had the transmission fluid changed out and noted there appeared to be outside water getting into transmission at one time and noted a few good size (1/4") metal chunks.
Thoughts of how water infiltration could have happened and has anyone had experience metal chunks and what...
The switch under the truck is bad. I believe it is the airpac/master cylinder switch you referred to. Please see attached. Do you know where I may find a good one?
No I haven't yet. Just so I'm clear that there is a way to send power to the rear brake light in lieu of the black out light correct? Please excuse my ingnorance but everything I'm reading is leading to that there only is a black out function on the brake lights??
Just spoke with him. He said there is still may variables that need to be answered above and beyond what I sent him in order for him to set up the machines. He advised that I would be best to look for a source that has already gone through the set up, machining and build process.
