What have you done to your HMMWV today/lately

Finally replaced all my seat belts. Moved away from 3 points in back seats to lap belts to make a cleaner look with the Blue Ox top. Then got the bulkhead divider done. Super sketchy getting the holes drilled and rivets in without puncturing gas tank or filler tube.be.

What have you done to your HMMWV today/lately

Painted doghouse and radio tray I installed. Also fabricated this aluminum arm to hold this mount that will serve to hold my cell phone. Apparently this was used to hold GPS devices in vehicles. Iphone 12 with case fits in it perfectly. Found a document storage box to go with radio tray, but...

    Truck History

Yep, that's the national guard unit. Mine has similar markings as well. Got mine from the Chambersburg, PA installation.

    M1097R1 from GovtPlanet has arrived

Thanks for the insight. I was able to speak with GOVt planet about this. They took the title back and was able to get Florida to issue a new title with the correct year.

Potential for New Soft Doors HMMWV

Blue OX tops, the guy that I got my custom made top from also makes door skins. He has OEM material or the sailcloth material used to make the tops for civilian hummers and you can choose colors.

PURCHASED HMMWV WITH NO MODEL YEAR ON DOCUMENTS - TEXAS

Ok, I got one from GVT planet as well. It was listed as a 1995 in the auction, but then the title from Florida I paid extra $200 for came in as a 2008. 2008 was the year my rig was overhauled. but it was built in 1995. I went back to GVT planet and said "I bought this rig listed as a 1995."...

    LED turn signal issues.

Got the HUMVEE back and turns out it was a "flasher controller". Flasher controller

    LED turn signal issues.

I added all LEDs to my rig. Did the front first and was working. Next day did the rear, driver side and was still working. Added the right rear and it would flash in night drive, but not the day setting (forget the correct terms). I checked all grounding and then it started working once I...

What have you done to your HMMWV today/lately

Finally got the hood painted/replaced and the driver's cowl panel painted/replaced. Did some half ass touching up with rattle cans and not done yet. Got my Blue Ox Top installed, but the curtain hasn't been installed yet as I'm moving the rear seat belts for a cleaner look. All new LED lights...

    M1097R1 from GovtPlanet has arrived

I haven't had much time to mess with it. I'm going to send it to a mechanic for an inspection once I replace my hood. But I may hold off on that right now as they made a mistake on my title. The sf97 was coming my way and they flagged it with Fedex to return it because they realized I paid...

What have you done to your HMMWV today/lately

Drained and replaced transmission fluid as well as oil and filter. The filter took a few hours to break off. A bolt to the transmission pan was flush up against the base of filter causing friction. Plus, the date written on the filter was December of 2018. It appears the truck has been...

3 Speed Hydramatic Transmission fluid level

I'm guessing that's what it is. I ended up draining enough out so the level on the dip stick was correct.

3 Speed Hydramatic Transmission fluid level

I've drained the transmission. Operators manual states this transmission takes 6qts of Dexron3. I fill with 6 quarts of fluid and the dipstick shows the level is way high? Do I have to warm this thing up to get the level to read correctly or should I drain some out? Appreciate any insight.

    Humvees in the winter

I have been curious about these as I also have a Cj7 that isn't the best at heating. So not sure how these perform. Aftermarket Heater

Can anyone recommend a rivet kit with the punch tool to install the body panel?

    M1097R1 from GovtPlanet has arrived

Too early to pass judgement but it feels like something is wrong. I have a 115HP CJ7 that would blow by this humvee in a race. But I will admit, I don't have any idea on what to expect with this truck. I still need to clean out the air filter and probably replace fuel filter among other...

    M1097R1 from GovtPlanet has arrived

In this set of pics, you can see the damage to the aluminum on the wheel well by the hood. Also windshield border trim has some screws missing. Not sure what the two holes above passenger side glass are for.

    M1097R1 from GovtPlanet has arrived

It was pretty easy getting things done through the auction process. Won auction on 9/14 and it shows up from Chambersburg, PA to my residence in Georgia on 10/7. I imagine I'll be waiting some time for the Montana title to show up based on other's reported experiences. It was delivered to a...

Are there essentially only 2 different hoods?

I found one on GOVT planet that is a single brand new hood in crate. Also, I know a guy who works for a LTL freight dispatch company. If I win the auction, he's gonna slap it on the next truck he can get to Yermo. I suppose I could wait and look for one that is more local but I am not a...
