Up here I've had issues with cold starts on old spark plugs, was a nightmare to get my civi Dodge going. Air density changes with temperature, might have to re-gap the plugs and adjust the timing a bit to get it right. There may be a section in the TM's for "arctic operation", that'd probably...
Nope. The other morning I had to go open the doors to let a bird OUT of the truck! Must be all those tasty wasps from the summer. Definitely not just you.
For "light" work and parades it's hard to beat that whistle in a low boost low rpm situation, After the C is spooled and building boost though, it's hard to hear the engine under it, for me anyway. I want to try a D after the inevitable happens and the C quits just to see what "quiet" is like...

Here's the link for fuzzys post, personal opinion, C turbos are not for the faint of ear, they DO scream.
I have put two Chevrolet 9C1 caprices on rented car hauling trailers, one from U-Haul, and one from a local company, a screw type tilt deck flatbed tandem. Both times behind my brothers 01 Silverado, 6.0, 4l80, 4.10s, and both cars (half the weight of your HMMWV) walked that "little" (6800lb)...
Roughly how much does your sprinter rig weigh?
Looks like a couple in the pics drove over the fenders to be loaded, not a big deal if you own the trailer, but I don't think a rental company's going to like that idea much. Could just be an optical illusion.
Here we go again..... I'm glad I'm broke for this one, it'd probably just end up sitting, waiting for parts to fall from the sky 😂. Would make some awesome yard art though
Oh man...... Check for the gaskets to be reversed 😂. Glad it's running right, bonus now when the spare carb is rebuilt properly, you'll have a good spare

Some good reads in there
Also check out TM 9-2320-361-10, Table 1-11, there's two and a half pages of what fuels to use in which temperature range and what have you.
Yeah they just deleted it entirely. From the schematic, I gather the lsv applies brake pressure relative to brake pedal pressure, not pedal position, similar to one of Chryslers electronic braking "innovations", wherein the brakes would apply harder and faster the harder and faster the pedal was...

Couple good reads in there.
There was a thread I read a while back about a big block in a deuce, I don't remember what the results were, but it has been done.
So..... Did the CUCV in question from 7 years ago end up holding its value?
I like both ends of what's discussed here, like said, if a truck is damaged/non running/pieces missing/previously hacked on, I see no harm in modding it, as long as the mods are not bubble gum and duct taped together...
That'd explain it, we got maybe a quarter inch of rain over the three day event, but wind speed was sustained 30mph, gusts in the mid 40s to mid 50s, 1200-ish miles from the eye.... Crazy
Have you verified spark and timing? When you went through the carb did you re-use the same gaskets or replace with new? That one sounds a bit rougher than the one I referred you to, almost like it's only firing on 3 cylinders, could just be the video. I would also do a compression test and make...
