Through Fastenal I found a 55 gallon drum of bar and chain oil for less than $500, comes out to just over $2 a quart. There were a lot more but I trust Fastenals' website more than the other guys.
They also have a 5 gallon bucket for $80
2300 miles for this, 1300 miles for the Texas rally, 1100 for Louisiana...... I'm gonna need a Huey..... Is there a chance of setting up a Livestream so us "too far away-ers" can tune in should we want to?
With damage like that, I would get under the truck and push/pound/bend/pry the bent metal upwards, cut the pieces off, sand/grind the holes smooth, then lay a piece of 3/16 steel sheet down and self tap the squawk out of it, using shorties so as not to hit anything below the floor.
If you want...
Yours says 60 amp, can't imagine why it wouldn't work.
Hard to read the serial number but the amperage and voltages match so I would say it's good to go
Sounds like it was a riot! Did a rough mileage calculation and it came up to ~1,270, translating to 30-40hrs of road time, so unless I come across a steal on an F-18, or someone has a Chinook and wanton disregard for fuel money to airlift the ol girl down, we'll be watching from here wishing it...
Try rubbing some coolant on the inside of the hose to lube it, it's hard to tell without being there but it looks like the inside diameter is juuuuust large enough with some slippery stuff on it to slide onto the thermostat housing.
If that fails I'd get a hold of the parts guys and see if the...
Nope, same crank, pretty sure same cam, different rocker arms, and better designed pistons for cooling. To turn an LDT into an LDS, one simply needs an LDS rebuild kit and injection pump because the timing is just a little bit different. I think even the flywheel and clutch assemblies are the...
Be careful with that, if I'm remembering correctly (and I hope I'm not) that happened to someone else on here, 2 months later their ENTIRE policy was dropped, not just auto, because progressive found out it was NOT an H1.
Glad to hear they're registered as 1 tons though.
Correct, your weight rating would drop to 0 because they don't have a weight rating for a class 3 hitch on the truck itself, just the hitch. I have either a class 4 or 5 installed and technically am not allowed to use it on road, even though the hitch is rated to 10 tons. Off highway, pulls like...
No, it's not legal. Max towed vehicle weight rating on the pintle on highway is ten thousand pounds, with all three axles. Can they haul more? Absolutely, but according to the data tag, five tons is it.
Couple quick questions since these seem way more common than the XM789, when the data tag refers to "retracted", that means bolster bars down and stowed correct? Also, data tag states overall length at roughly 17.5ft, is that correct as well or am I reading that wrong?
Thanks guys, feel free...
Funny you say that, a couple towns over from me, in a barn, is exactly that, not being used as a table, but covered by a sheet. Old timer will absolutely NOT come off it, first thing he tells anyone who asks anything about it 😆. Might be able to talk him into pics though....
From what I can tell upon review, firing order is still 1-3-4-2, driver's side are cylinders 1 and 3, passenger side are 2 and 4.
Sorry for the confusion
Yours sounds incredible, believe it or not that's quiet for a turbo deuce..... I was wondering about a muffler as well, because as much as we love ours, not great for kids, even with hearing protection. TSC sells mufflers cheap, I just haven't been brave enough to try it...
I see no reason a...
