I was sitting there.. all eyes on me and the HMMWV. I had to pull from all resources to get me out of that embarrassing situation quick. The Motorpool mechanic wanted me to remove...
Help! I'm stuck! The service brakes won't release.
I thought it was the parking brake nope.. I've pumped the brake pedal a few times and had someone try to pry brake caliber, to get some space between the pads and the rotor. No luck..
I'm stuck at the gas station.
Thanks for the lead. I'll check out your post.
I've only had the truck a few days. It's been parked since 2010 in a garage. So it's only the 5th time I've started the truck. After changing all the fluids and filters today I parked it out front and noticed the noise. Plus the wait light didn't...
Today I noticed a click cycling noise from M998. With the start switch in the off position. It sounds Like the same clicking noise when the glow plugs cycle before startup.
Any ideas? Has anyone had this issue? I've unhooked the batteries until I track this down.
Hello, here's the story. The truck wasn't started for about a year or more. We changed the in tank pump. And All the filters. There was gunk and what looked like mud in everything. At first she would start ok. It idled for about an hour. The next day no start. Hit it with starter fluid and she...
Any idea where to find a used or reman injector pump? I've looked around found them from 1,200 down to 600. Anyone on here have one for sale? The truck would start only on starter fluid. So I turned up the fuel.. That worked for a wile. But now won't run even with fluid. We cleaned everything...
Check your propeller shaft.. I had a vibration above 25 mph. Did not pay much attention to it until the shaft came loose and beet the crap out of the floor of the cab.. The bolts worked loose and broke off..
As I sanded the truck prior to painting, I found under a few layers of paint the faint letters THE GENERAL across the front of the hood. So my truck is branded THE GENERAL in black letters across the hood....
RE: carb
The carb on the bumper is the original one. Clark gave us the carb on the motor.. I'll check and get some numbers, but the data plates are in bad shape. :(
The truck will run when I pour Gas in the carb but will not run on it's own. We put a electric fuel pump on it, could that be...
A friend of mine picked up a truck last week something to work on over the winter... The problem is after we got it to the shop it DIED.. The carburetor is shot. We went to Clark truck parts to pick up a rebuild kit but he did not have one. So he gave us a different carb and said it would work...
RE: Romney WV
That's a nice BIG green truck.... I'll check around to see if anyone has something bigger than my deuce to help you get it. Will it need to be hauled or could it be flat toed? I know a guy in Buckhannon who has the right stuff but if he has time is the question.
I bought my 1971 M35a2 from him. Then 6 or 7 months past and the transfer went out in the truck. I called him and he told me to come up and he would make it right. So we drove up and he let me have a tested takeout for only $150.00 . He Is A good guy to do business with... I recommend him 100%..

Most were complete with only minor demill cuts. All cuts are an easy fix, no structural cuts.
Not much rust, for the most part they all have good tracks and undercarriages. Every one we put batteries in turned over and one ran for like five seconds.
5,000 was a good deal but wile I was there...
Here are some pictures from our trip to SECO in Augusta, GA.
December 2003. They have allot of stuff we spent 2 days looking around.
There were around 40 M-75s there most would turnover, and we got one to start for like a second..
Last time I talked to Byron they only had ( 4 ) units left.
